K98 & M1 scopes are bugged
If you take these scopes in your hand and look through them it's alright, but if they are installed on a rifle they do not work proper:
If you scope 'up', above the 0-degree line of the horizon they work as expected.
If you scope 'down', below the 0-degree line of the horizon the lines/crosshair of the scopes disappear completely.
Anybody has the same kind of problem or is it just me ?

Yes its all scopes doing this not just specific ones. seen it with the hunter, p223, m82 and acog. would bet is occuring with the svd scope as well

That's bad. So all scopes are useless atm...

no they're not useless try un equiping the scope place it in another container ZNot your backpack and then re equip it. it that dosnt with verify your gamefiles. i suggest a full restart of steam before that. Ie kill steam task

That happened to me earlier today. I repaired both the scope and the weapon up to 100%, separated them and put them into inventory, shut down the game, logged back in, put the parts back together again, and then the scope worked right ever after.

Well, i deleted my local savegame folder and put the " -dx11 " startup option in steam for SCUM. Then start the game as "normal" when they ask me what version to start and it works.

I verified my files and it fixed it for a little while. Happened again tonight and a server restart fixed it. NO rhyme or reason to why it happens from what I can tell. I thought it had something to do with the horizon though, as if you lift your weapon into the sky reticules etc come back.

This only happens to me when i look at the waterline from a boat or a beach.
If i relog it will fix it until i look at the water line again.

Yes, there is a similar glitch with scopes

Same. Looking anywhere under 0 degrees vertical. Relog does nothing. Remove and replace does nothing to fix. Have a video if someone wants.

Same here... I simply put the rifle with the scope mounted into a container, closed the game, launched the game again, and it was working fine...
But I suspect this bug will creep in again...

Well, it certainly got nothing to do with repairing the scopes to 100%, i checked that. So save your electrical tool kits for other things...
Dismounting, putting it away, reloging sometimes work, but i can make out no real pattern.
