SCUM
No dropship
After a long time, I still have not managed to activate the dropship encounter in the world on my server. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have followed different instruction documents, including the official ones for the update. I had no problem activating it in a way that attacks player bases, but in the rest of the world, it seems impossible. I appreciate any suggestions.

I have it on 100
How often do you have the cargo drops spawning.

We have had drop ships more than once appear at 2 in a row for drops.

Hey there OP, can you tell us your settings and which dropship you are going after?

I have tried different combinations but, since it didn't work, I adjusted it following the example of the update post.

100 / (80 + 19 + 100)
100 / 199
0.502 - 50%

But it hasn't worked either. I would like to have a configuration of many puppets, high probability of finding the dorpship and minimum of animals.

Thanks for the help and the great work!

My config for airdrops is the following:

Cargo drop cooldown minimum: 120
Cargo drop cooldown maximum: 240
Cargo drop dropship encounter weight multiplier: 0.5

Thank you!

Okay, that would need to be balanced out with the spawn weight for the puppets as well, it depends if you want the dropship to be more regularly spawned at the cargo drop of more rarely.

I have tried several combinations and I can't get the dropship to appear in the world. Does anyone have any idea why it doesn't work? Thanks in advance
It might just be the rng involved.

Our pve is set up npc spawn vanilla with only a slight adjustment to the spawn distance of the horde.

We have twice in the same day seen drop ships at 2 drops in a row.

We have ours set up to have 2 drops on the map at all times.

Just out of curiosity, do you have "Dropship encounter spawning" in the custom zones blocked?

No, it is set to "Allow". I've tried different percentages, but I can't see it

I'm getting a bit confused here. Just want to point out that dropship that appear in the world are different from ones on base building encounters, the ones on cargo drops and ones that replace mechs when they are destroyed.

So can we just clear out which one we are trying to make more frequent here to avoid any other confusion?

The dropship that I´m interested in activating is the one that is supposed to appear anywhere in the world. This is the one I can't see. I haven't had any problems with the others. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for clarification, I will try to explain how it works:

scum.DropshipWorldEncounterSpawnWeightMultiplier=0.000000 - This setting multiplies base value for a dropship world encounter to spawn.

This setting replaces scum.EnableWorldEncounter=0 which was used to just enable or disable world dropship encounter.
Base weight values:
Puppets 80
Animal 19
Dropship 1

If Base scum.DropshipWorldEncounterSpawnWeightMultiplier is set to 1 chance for the dropship world event would be:
1 / (80 + 19 + 1)
1 / 100
0.01 - 1%

If the setting was set to 100 then the calculation would look like this:
100 / (80 + 19 + 100)
100 / 199
0.502 - 50%

This value applies to the LTZ (Low Threat Zones) which has 20% chance to trigger the event, after the event is triggered the game will determine which of the 3 events will be triggered (puppets, animals, or dropship).

These are the instructions published with the update. I have done different tests on these instructions and, at this moment, it is set, without success, to 80% probability. I will continue doing tests. Thank you very much for the detailed response and for your magnificent work in general!
