I get this error message when trying to join a server. I have tried everything imaginable to try and fix this issue but nothing seems to work. I have verified game files, reinstalled the game, restarting my computer(that just led to more problems), ran the game as admin, wiped the save files, and tons more. The server isn't having any issues, it works for everybody on it. I have gotten on the server but then it kicks me out after an hour then I have to wait another week for the same thing to happen. My internet is just fine I can join servers for other games without issue. Any advice would be much appreciated.

A clan mate of mine is having a similar problem, but he actually can't get on the server. I remoted in and tried helping him, tried everything from disabling his antivirus, allowed the program through the firewall, even disabled it and nothing worked. He also tried everything you mentioned, as well as working with the SCUM team, then went one step further by testing it on a 2nd computer and still no go. He can play SP, but that's about it. I did suggest to him to try contacting them to see if he could get the address, so he could ping and do a traceroute to see if that could be the issue.

I am getting the same error although it was working fine for me this morning and I haven't changed anything. I have tried all the recommended troubleshooting ideas (verified files, deleted Saved Data, repaired EAC, turned off Firewall and AV, updated Windows and Graphics drivers). My son who was on the same internet was able to connect just fine so I know its not the internet connection. Please help.

Hello :),

Do any of you use VPN or other additional Security measures ?

Well, we were able to get my friend on finally. I don't know what the problem was, but all he ended up doing was moving the game from the D:\ drive to his C:\ drive. We never thought about trying that because most of us run the game on separate drives, but in his case, that worked.

Before asked, the game has been uninstalled and reinstalled onto this D:\ drive before to see if that was the issue and it didn't. This time he put it on his primary drive and it worked.

Like I said, not sure why this worked and since it is working after a couple of months have gone by, he is not touching it as long as it is working.

Also, no, he didn't use a VPN, but he was running Avast stuff, but since then has removed it.

In some cases HDD can clutter and stop working with full efficiency. It is advicable to do regulary Defragmentations of HDD drives to increase the performance. Also a cleanup is adviced. HDD can rapid be underperforming since it is moving hardware. the more full the Drive, the longer it will need to load and read the data on the disk.
I play myself on a older HDD-Sata-6 drive but maintain it weekly including a maintainance of the registry which also can help a lot.
