Please try the Windows repair called SFcScannow. You can do this as follows:

• In the search bar, type CMD .
  
• Right-click CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator.

This DLL belongs to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package 2017.
VCRedist is inclusive since 2015 onwards so install latest vcredist (2022), both x86 and x64 (links directly from Microsoft):

Also had this issue; verified game files, reinstalled SCUM, restarted both steam and windows, nothing worked yet. trying the gibberish deathwisper posted and if that doesn't work i'll try the gibberish Arc posted and if not i'll probably go walk the dogs

edit: the scan deathwhisper suggested completed fine but didn't solve the problem. the stuff Arc suggested did. i walked the dogs anyway

So I fixed the error now I can't connect. I changed my streaming speed to Epic. But still nothing.

Hi all Iam not sure if this is due to the latest update but I cannot load up the game even after verifying the files ...VCRUNTIME-140­_1dl this is the run time message i get any help would be good I have even reinstalled the game all to no avail... Please help if you can
