Report a translation problem
Windows 11 is not yet officially supported by SCUM. Therefore, problems can arise here that cannot necessarily be predicted or determined.
But in various reports regarding Windows 11 and Windows 10, some tech-savvy sites have stated that trying the game in compatibility mode (Windows 10 compatibility) is worth a try.
I also have an Windows 11 and it does take forever to load and then super laggy when I'm dropped in game. I've tried running in compatability mode but of course it only options up to Windows 8.
My current OS is:
Windows 11 Home
11th gen Intel (R) Core i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHZ
8G RAM
64 bit OS, x64 based processor
I however have downloaded the game on my removable 1tb storage unit. (May have something to do with my problems)
With that being said, if anyone can even point me in the right way to run SCUM or how to uninstall windows 11 and okay Windows 10. Thanks and happy gaming.
I see 2 problems. The first is, your Ram is not enough for SCUM. The minimum Requirements are 16GB of RAM and as you mentioned, the drive can also cause a problem. It is the best to install scum on a SSD or Nvme drive, HDD will underperform a lot in comparison and need significant longer to load.
If you have a chance to use an SSD, you definitely should. Not only SCUM benefits from this, but the entire PC in general, since the data processing on it is simply significantly higher at around 10x more and that is very noticeable.
For Now win11 Is not official supported by the game but i do think the problem is because of insufficient Ram and HDD drive.
PN: I also have still a old CD drive installed :'D thought didnt used it for ages now.
So I did some digging and so far I came up with:
Skytech Mark 5
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600-6 core
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12 Gb
Motherboard: ASRock B550M-c
Ram: 16Gb DDR4 3600
CPU Cooler: 240mm AIO-Skytech RGB
I used Skytech's site to do a pre-built at 1440p and 1080p this is my "build your own" results. Then I found a similar build in the Skytech Chronos pre-build with just a slight variation in motherboard (B550M) and cooler (Wraith Stealth). Then I checked bottlenecking on general tasks, processor, and graphics card. At 1440p I get tasks at .02, processor at 0.0, and graphics card at 6.1. That's percent(%) of bottlenecking at intense use. I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time but I'd rather waste my time than my money. So if you or if you know someone more savvy... Plus I hear CPU prices are falling like stones in a pond.
