I want to know, will you fix this problem?
Scum as a single player game isnt even nearly ready, yet youve just made it one for many people.
WOW! Zero F***s given!!
Never mind that I will loose 200 hrs of game play and wont be able to play with my friends anymore!
This is absolutely ridiculous and a slap in the face to your early supporters!
On the one hand, probably you endeavor to minimize the impact of hacks or cheats, but isolating players in different regions is the least effective way. Instead, the technical means of preventing hacks should be focused much more. MOREOVER, you did not set the same bans for private servers, I confidently suspect that you tried to increase profits by discouraging the use of official servers, which are free, and encourage the purchase of private servers.
On the other hand, have you ever thought clearly about your targeting market? Is this game a single-player one? What makes most of the current players loyal to this game? Is it a proper move to isolate players and let them play solo in the face of this hardcore game mode?
Any successful game developers would see the macro development of the game and players as the most important goals, unless you try to emulate some infamous game companies who used the title "the game is being developed" and gained funds and supports, and finally ran away.
Hope you reconsider the decision and be cautious about your moves in the future.
Best
As a streamer..all be it a small streamer, I can no longer recommend the game openly to people as i can't garentee them a player base in which ever country they may be, or which ever ping you deem to be "too high"in the future.
Currently the only workaround would be to rent a private server and to remove the ping limit there.
I do understand the frustration and I've carefully read every single one of your posts multiple times to make sure I do not misinterpret something, but unfortunately I have no good news for you on that front.
Looks like I’ll be asking Steam to refund me my money then. No point playing SCUM if I can’t play with my friends. See you when “The higher ups” decide to care about the community!
This is Crap, Bunny, you need tell your "Higher UPs ppl " to reconsider this as this is a big problem. If i cant play with my friends from all over the world on a server together , then the game is a waste of time for me. Covid has screwed us from going outside to be with friends now SCUM has stopped us from playing online with friends from around the world.
I personally have seen that when the clamp downs on pings was an issue a few years ago on another game after players stopped playing and complained they removed that silly ping limit.
So, I am asking very nicely, Please remove the ping limit crap.
For players who have been online for 900 hours, it really hurts us. Although I dare not offend, this decision by the top management is really stupid.
