Can't set resolution to 1440p

As title says, I cant emulate 1440p on my monitor, when I set 2560x1440 nothing changes and It goes back to 1080p, I can set resolutions below 1080p, but not above it. Yes, I own a 1080p monitor but in other games I'm able to emulate 2.5k and even 4k, is there something that I dont know?

I'm not at my computer (at the pub) to give you the path to the file, but in the gameusersettings.ini you can manually change it to your resolution, then mark the file to read only. When SCUM starts it's forced to run at that resolution. I'm sure someone can chime in with the link to the guide or the path to the file.

I've done this already and when marked to ready only a get a fatal error and the game crashes. Thanks

Is this to scale down the game interface through resolution trickery? Otherwise it makes little sense.
