Didnt a Dev say that we would be able to host our own, private, dedicated servers? I'm sure I saw someone link to a post in the disscussions forum about a Dev explaining what will be available for players when the game is released. Has that plan been shelved? Devs???

You can rent private servers from g portal and get your own options (spawn rate, amount of zombies, damage etc).

I understand that.

When the game was being talked about before it was released in to EA one of the Devs said that we would be able to host our own private servers, not rent. I'm wondering if that option will ever be available?

Oh, hmm, can you link where that's been said? For now there are no plans of releasing that option, but everything is possible in the future.

It depends on what they want for it in the future. Right now they grant priviliges to gportal..
And seeing in roughly 4 days 80 % or more gportal servers are currently are down, I can say I really want to be able to host a dedicated server if I want to.

I'm not trying to rain on their parade. I'm just hoping for the option. It will probably be a null point once the fixes and anti-cheat system is implemented.

There you go, and you even said now that gportal has the rights because you don't want people to reverse-engineer and create hacks....but guess what? Hackers just spawned on everyone who had a drone go to them. Get rid of that ♥♥♥♥, it's really annoying and breaks immersion when you see a drone following someone at night. Get lots of kills and get killed a lot because of that drone.

Remove it until it has a use.

I believe this was said before we signed anything with g-portal. Oh well.. I know it's not ideal, when you work for 12 hours per day, every day, people can make mistakes and say something that's not correct. Anyways, no dedicated servers in the near future, but if it becomes a really requested feature we will see if there is something that can be done.

You can't host your own server because the game devs got bought by g-portal. Now you can only host from g-portal LOL. What are waste.

Correct, the world is not ideal even though we are doing our best to import most of the things that were promised. You know where the refund button is. And apologies for going over that single promise, but like I said - nothing is set in stone.
