But if you want to make a survival game differently, go ahead! But you will need a competent team and a load of money. Good luck!
Agree 100%
I've seen shotgun barrels blow up Elmer Fudd style irl due to poorly loaded cartridges... cartridges that were loaded while *very* sober in a clean & controlled environment haha
100% out of the box factory ammo.
just make sure ammo isn't too low condition...
What is the percentage chance of this happening? Is it based on anything other than a randomly applied mechanic to make things more tedious? Do you remember how everybody hated the Far Cry 2 weapons jamming? Good times.
My point is this is not a realistic behavior for firearms and a totally arbitrary feature that adds nothing to the game. I own several firearms in multiple calibers, both vintage and newer platforms and they will never jam, firearms like bolt action, revolvers, double barrel shotguns will never jam either unless really questionable ammunition is used (like Kizzle mentioned above).
As the OP stated, the AS VAL is an AK platform, it will NEVER jam, as demonstrated by the AK Operators Union Youtube channel, an AK platform rifle can be left in a lake for a week and it will still fire, you can drop sand in it, bury it, drive over it with a truck and it will still fire. Garand Thumb, another Youtuber does freeze tests (Russian AK factories at Izhmash and Molot do the same) and AKs never fail to fire.
Just my 2 cents.
