It's very entertaining from a PvE point of view. For me personally in single player, the game has been giving me a very unique experience for a very long time, even now shcon and I really enjoy the moments on the island and the challenge of the "open game world" where you can really take that 100% literally. 100% because you can't do linearly what you like. Test, try, get to know new things, shake off old ones or just get on with the day.
If you play it with familiar players, the fun factor is significantly higher. Making mischief or going on an extended adventure with different people and different reactions can be a lot of fun. Small bets are always a big fun factor for us and this often leads to crazy ideas. All in all, there are no limits to creativity and many beautiful possibilities to make everyday survival something special.
If we look into the horizon at things that may still come, the whole thing will once again become an exciting adventure and many beautiful and funny speculations.
There are quiet some things in the forges. :)
Here you can get a idea about it. :)
Yes, the key is changing settings to increase the amount of puppets and their damage, at least once you get used to the game and need more challenge.
Next patch I think we are getting types of mutant enemies in the bunkers, and at some point we'll be getting hostile NPCs as well, and after that there are some feral mutant types too. So there will be additional challenges.
I play SP / PVE with puppets turned up and damage up and usually a permadeath mode.
But that is up to you.
HELLO MY POTENTIAL FELLOW SCUMMER
I've been playing single player PVE only since 0.2/0.3 (definitely before 0.5 anyway)
and i'm still enjoying it, I love how we can adjust the threat, loot, and other settings if i start to get a bit bored I just up the difficulty,
There are loads of things to come, in the future there will be a story line campaign, new NPC's both hostile and friendly, different mutant enemies
different tasks to complete all sorts,
One thing you must bear in mind THE GAME IS STILL IN EARLY ACCESS, IT IS NOT FINISHED, So there are some bugs but the Developers are really great (as you might be able to tell when looking through the posts} and the game is patched and updated frequently, on that note don't get too attached to things, as the game updates
sometimes there are wipes where you lose everything, but that is part of the early access process,
YOU HAVE TO KEEP IN MIND AS EARLY ACCESS PLAYERS WE ARE ACTUALLY TESTING THE GAME AS WE GO ALONG , So jump in have fun, it's a steep learning curve with no tutorial (yet, there is a place holder) i would suggest watch some of MR FEUDAL'S Youtube's single player series, or for tip's have a look at Raykit's channel (hes got some really informative tip videos ) If you have any questions just ask them here most of here us are happy to help.
Yeah I enjoy the PVE aspect of it. Once they add different enemy types it will be pretty top notch I believe.
Need to rent or log onto a server to play with friends.

There are plenty of servers out there to play on both official and private.
Some are pvp some are pve and some have a mix.
