Help on car battery installation please

I've the vehicle repair kit, a good battery and high engineering. Holding F all over the car with no option to install battery. Any ideas would be great!

Is there an engine in it have you installed the alternator!
I believe the order is engine alternator battery

Are you trying to install the battery in service mode or from the normal state?

Service mode? What is that and how to I get it? That appears to be an admin command and I'm on my friends server.

You need a car Jack for it. Hold the car jack in your hands and approach the vehicle, hold F while aiming at the vehicle and you can set it into service mode. This mode is for example needed if you want to add or remove a tire to it. :)

At least you can test it, unfortunately I haven't been able to find a vehicle without a battery to experiment with. As soon as I get to my vehicle, I'll see if and how I can install and remove the battery.

I dont need a car jack to install a battery but you need medium engineering skill.

Sometimes items do bug out, for example canister cant be filled, it is possible the same can happen to cars or batteries. It might work with another car or battery.

Try testing it in singleplayer. Just make a char press "t" and spawn the stuff you need.

I maxed out engineering when creating character, so I guess it's 3/4 pie or high. No option shows. I've had battery in hands, on ground. Vehicle Repair kit same, no option. What else can I try?
