That's why we have water collectors, we will not add additional items to be present on the server at this point as it ruins server stability.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Edit: Fill then place on ground
That's exactly my point. One bucket would replace dozens of items. Watercollectors are not cost efficient, if you have the parts you make them but cans and bottles are abundant so you place alot of them.
I have two bottle next to every plant to store water for dry times, 1 bucket would do for the whole garden. Could even have a bucket that does not need animal skin, just a simple open one.
But its no big deal its fine for me as it is, game is stable i just place hundreds of bottles
I have not yet created a garden plot to test out farming (and watering). So, I cannot comment on that function.
I've not attempted to use a water bucket to hold fuel. Not sure I'd be able to fuel the car in any case. Nor have I used a gas canister to hold water... though I know it works as some squad mates have done so. I've not tried to put out a fire with a water filled gas can either... or one full of gas ^_^.
