Character deleted after server restart ?!

I play on the official server Europe #6 and my character got deleted on the 16:00 and 22:00 oclock restarts.
MY friends had no problems and i started randomly in an orange suite again on the other half of the map. What can i do about that ? Its very annoying.

Are you sure you logged into the correct server.

Sounds like a corrupted save file if you did.

1. Are you a brand new character or are you a character that lost all it's gear.

I have seen some players with a lot of lag take a few minutes for their gear to actually load onto the character.


Are you sure it was Europe Official #6

On 08/16/2024 they did server maintenance and the follow Europe servers have new ip's.

I have seen some weird stuff happen from server issues since I started playing Scum online back in Jan of 21 so just trying to help narrow it down for you/them.

Yes it was the Official Server #6 Europe. Were playing there since today. MY mates didn't encounter any problems, it was only me.
I look again into that tomorrow. I'm offline for today.

I double checked with my singleplayer char. Singleplayer seems fine nothing corrupted.
My char on the multiplayer server was deleted or rolled back. It was a character that i deleted and started over with a new one that i leveled and played with for hours.
The char that spawned in was a deleted one from earlier today.

I played till the disconnect from the server restart and my game crashed on this. I logged into the same server, when it was restarted and all my progress was gone.

Single player characters are kept on your computer.

Multiplayer characters are kept on the actual server that you log into. That is why sometimes when there are issues we can go into our saved game file and delete it under certain circumstances. When we log back into the server it will reload all the info to the saved file.

If it does it again I would go to the technical section and submit a support ticket.
