you can just buy those from him... most of such quest which items are cheap enough you are better off just buying from quest givers...

It might be a setting that I messed up, but as is, I cant use bought items to turn in for quests. And it does feel a little bit cheaty. But I`ll try that.

its an option you can turn off or on as to if you can use bought items for quests

I find the denim 'sexy' shorts commonly in residential buildings, did they stop spawning for you or you just weren't sure which items to get?

If you don't care about destroying ur own dignity they give an two extra inventory slots and can be still be worn under pants to hide ones diglessness.
