Thanks Anton, you seem legit.
Unfortunately MrGamerRU I don't think the game offers what you are looking for at this point. I see posts where you can monkey a ton of settings to get your desired effect of animals but still seems there is much trouble. Perhaps in the future the dev's will change this but I wouldn't hold your breathe. They removed zombies from spawning without a player nearby and removed animals unless you do the mini game all for server performance. It seems unlikely they would add them back in after the huge performance hit of seeing wet leaves and grass.
I hope Anton or others can provide the answer you actually want.
Saying things are not true is not fine either, you should have played the game to know how things are now.
I dont understand that post, there are animals and they are fairly easy to spot. With the hunting minigame they were obviously hard to spot because they do not exist at first. Maybe its a problem related to servers only, but that is not OP's problem as hes looking things for singleplayer.
And so. Here are the settings that are good for a single player. There is a lot of work and effort put into it. Both for animals and for npc and their appearance at a considerable distance. First! The maximum number of characters should be 128. I will tell you why. 128 is the base number that the encounter manager supports. As soon as you increase it by one, it breaks. This is how the respawn is created, specifically for this number. This number includes you! Puppets, aNPC, animals, an explosive laugher (the one that wants to hug you to death), sharks, and even sentries with landing ships. You must calculate all of these characters out of 128 for a comfortable game. Therefore, the numbers should be as follows: 70 puppets (multiplier=1). 10 animals. 10 anpc. Up to 5 explosive puppets. 1 number goes to the birds. They don't exist, but they are in the server configuration file. It's better to set them to 1. The chicken is also a bird, and I noticed that when set to 0, the chickens disappear from the hunt. 1-2 slots are allocated to sharks. Up to 10 slots are allocated to guards. Interestingly, if you disable the guards (sentries), the game still reserves a slot for them, just like with the explosive C4 laughers. As a result, we have a small reserve of respawn resources, which is essential for proper functioning. Because there are other characters in the situation. The locals, so to speak, are Uncle Brenner and his swordsmen, who are located in abandoned bunkers.

There is a little trick. There is such a parameter as - scum.EncounterHordeSpawnDistanceMultiplier=10.000000. It has a value from 0.01 to 10.0... But if you put the value 300.000000 in the file. Save it and put it in the "Read-only" file properties. By running the game, there is a chance that POI triggers will start to fire very far away. You just can't go into the server settings in the game itself, otherwise everything will reset to default. This configuration works 50-50. If the FPS drops by 10-30 seconds while your character is loading (depends on your computer), then the configuration has worked.

This setting will reduce the appearance of dolls behind your back, but there is a small chance that they will appear and make you ♥♥♥♥ yourself.
I'm based near the traders on B4.
From there I head to the town where the police station is located and usually find a puppet spawning at 100m-150m. That distance is far enough that it is difficult to aim with a handgun.
Armed NPCs also usually spawn in that area.
It is more correct to say that the NPC had already spawned rather than that I saw it spawn.
Armed NPCs that spawn in the area are attacking puppets when puppets are present. I also saw 3 NPCs fighting one NPC with a shotgun.
I am watching them at a distance of about 150 meters.
The armed NPCs will probably detect the player when they approach within 100m. It seems that shields do not work against armed NPCs. Armed NPCs probably have life-sensing devices; since TEC1 has the technical ability to manipulate dead people, it would be easy to develop a life-sensing device.
If the armed NPC has a machine gun, be aware that it will hit you from about 100 meters away.
Thank you all for your time, have a nice game!
