Instant death?

I was just out on the barba boat out near the light house in Z4, im not sure what happened but i die instantly. im playing on singleplayer so im really confused as to what may have happened. if anyone has a guess plaese reach out to me. Thank you all and keep on SCUMmin!!

Its possible you may have gone past the island boundary by accident so your bcu explodes thus instant death

Hi stufranklin91,

In general you will receive a (very) brief warning to return, then you will die. This is true if you are in a boat, swimming, or in a plane. Those boundaries (in your case the buoys to the south and west) are serious!

I have done exactly the same thing (in my case in a plane).
