Dropship

So i was out bicycling and from nowhere a dropship started attacking me. I've learned where they tend to spawn but never have i been targeted outside bunkers or cargo drops. Is this how it works or was i just unlucky?

Hello :),

Yes, these are very rare encounter, but they can happen! In such a case it would be highly recommended to seek shelter or hide, to not get into a conflict with such a Dropship (Unless you want it :D).

It did happened to me recently aswell while i was preparing for maintainance and cooking. However, the moment it appeared, i was collecting some logs for the fire and was be able to hide behind/underneath the threes.

I know about the base attacks they can do but i wasn't prepared for this, haha. Was trying to bicycle down from middle of the map to the racetracks to retrieve my car and get some strength excercise at the same time so i was reading the news when that scary hoovering sound appeared from nowhere :(

Actually got killed the same way except with the cargo drop. I haven't played in a while and back then sometimes puppets didn't spawn always at the drop site. So i just stood there waiting and then i heard a weird hoovering sound after i literally almost got crushed by the container...

there were 2 dropships at a drop recently couldn't get near it, does this mean those drops have better loot ?

Not that I know of, same loot I think!

Im pinned down in a bunker. right now ,I can hear the dropship outside. Will it go away if I wait or shall I take my change and run away, loaded with loot :-)
Edit it was a cargo drop right beside the bunker, the dropship was watching over. I ran away like a coward :-)

It wont be there forever i think. Not sure as i had no such situation so far. However, waiting and be on the safe side if it does not make any circumstances would be the best way, if the dropship has not noticed you yet.

Ok, I was actually in doubt if it would stay forever. I have only seen dropships with cargodrops (which also was the case this time), but I read somewhere that they can also show up if you are too agresssive- and they can drop mechs.
