Wondering what others think about "mission" quest hints; e.g.: (!)
I have been working through the quests (usually from the A0 trader) and have really found them to be fun, including the so-called fetch quests. They definitely give new motivation to move around the map and to visit/revisit POIs.

I play in multiplayer and have not run into any bugs with the quests I have completed thus far in tier 1, 2, or 3. The system seems to be working really well (kudos to the Devs); the only semi-glitch is that you sometimes have to figure out the angle to perform the "F" action on mission-style quests. I have always been able to reposition and get it done thus far.

However, one thing is driving me a little crazy.

I do not know if the visibility distance for quest hints shown during "mission" type quests - the (!) that appears - are linked to awareness or not (e.g.: they show at longer distances with higher awareness), but with maximised awareness they certainly show up a long distance away, to the point that they severely reduce the difficulty of the quest.

I am wondering if anyone with a lower awareness skill has run into something like this:

This was during the "We don't need no education" quest and when I entered the hospital the screen was literally cluttered with clues. What is shown above was only for the book portion, as I had already completed the body bag portion. For me, the quest became just a matter of finding a path to the (!) symbol and less about knowing/exploring for the location of the objective within the POI.

The same is true for mission quests related marking advertising boards, air conditioners, checking phones, checking graves, swabbing chalices, etc.

There does not seem to be a setting for this feature in the game at the moment.

I am not sure if this is a negative for anyone else? Does it apply for characters with lower awareness, e.g.: distance for (!) symbol to appear is lower?

I enjoy the fetch quests, but the mission ones I cannot even find the ACs to sabotage (apparently bugged in SP from posts I can find) and my FPS gets destroyed when I pin them (recently reported in Bug reports), I've never seen any of those hints before though.

From the Devs replies to various posts, like you, my understanding is that they are looking into several issues with single player quests at the moment. I am sure it is a priority for them to get this done.

My instinct was to go into single player to see if I could add to what was already found; however, I wanted to complete all of the quests in multiplayer (at a single trader) first to see if there were any issues in multiplayer.

I wish they would fix this already. The A/C and Telephone quests not working as far as i can tell still.

and the new message things that puts up when you have a phone in your bag or clothes, it shows up with no battery but you need a battery to work the phone, and even with a battery i seen plenty of times when that message shows but then i check the phone and it`s blank, this is in single player game so i know no one else is reading those messages, the devs have known about these issues for some time yet fixing them clearly isn`t important to them, i hope they get sorted soon.
