2. Stop being afraid of the wipe. The most interesting time is the time right after the wipe.
3. The developers won't tell you exactly. Because they don't want some very sensitive players to stop playing now.
4. A complete wipe is necessary and it is logical. Everyone will start on equal terms.
If you don't know, I will tell you. Many skills could be pumped up not very honestly. And many people took advantage of this. Therefore, it is more logical to erase everything.
I feel a full wipe is the only right thing to do.
There will likely be a influx of new players, and I feel it would be very unfair to have experienced players, with super strong chars running amok among the fresh meat.
If you have many 100's or 1000's hours you already have an enormous advantage, and the know-how to level alot quicker than a new player. There is no need to further unbalance the playing field by letting all of us veteran players start with super chars.
Not only because the game steps into 1.0 but also because if they don't wipe then the old content will most likely conflict with the amount of content that will probably be added in 1.0
I think I am qualified to share an opinion on the issue of a possible wipe of attributes and skills:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/513710/discussions/0/603019495810845025/
The above represents a massive investment in time; however, I decided to complete the challenge with full knowledge that the results could be erased when 1.0 is released. The Early Access disclaimer clearly states that things can/will change, so I felt appropriately warned.
So, for me, it really does not matter to me if the Devs retain STR/CON/DEX/INT attributes or any of the skills. I was more interested in testing if it was possible and would happily go through the process again, this time focusing only on the attributes and skills that support my play style. Learning which does (and which does not) was very valuable.
With this said, I agree, it would be nice if the Devs announced what kind of wipe is needed for 1.0, especially for those that are still working on their attributes and skills today. My squad has generally stopped all "intentional" skill building until after the 1.0 release because they do not want to waste time; I am sure that others playing the game have the same concern as well.

I completely disagree with you. This is absolutely illogical and unfair to the players who supported this project for many years and spent a lot of time on it.
If at least improving skills and basic game parameters was not so long and dull, it would be somehow bearable, but the system of improving skills and basic parameters that is in the game now is a very long and tedious process.
I improved my skills and basic parameters honestly and it took me TWO YEARS!!!
AND I DON'T WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN!!!
THIS IS HORRIBLE!!!
In addition, your imaginary "equality" between everyone is a myth and a common attempt at manipulation!!
There is no equality!!
An experienced player will ALWAYS have an advantage over a newbie in the game.
And the one who plays for DT will have it X2!)))
So stop hanging noodles on people's ears with these manipulations about "equality"))
You know,
I have a suggestion for people like you!)))
Create a list of all players who want a complete reset and let the developers give it ONLY to YOU!! If you want it, well... GET IT)))
And everyone who is against it, let them keep their characters.
Everyone should enjoy what they are talking about, right?))
What kind of nonsense are you talking?!
If that were the case, there would be a COMPLETE wipe every time something new was updated and added!)
The stats barely matter (used to matter more) they are just a side effect of playing. One that does really is medical and healing with less rags. I can't think of any others that affect the game to a degree of advantage when as I say, its about whoever aquires a target first in pvp encounters.
What is funny to me is people sinking years into a early access game not able to read the loading screen and then crying when wipes happen.
Differences yes but not overwhelming.
The biggest difference I believe is the knowledge of where things are to get.
I go here for guns.
I go here for attachments
I go here for TNT.
I go here for tool boxes.
I go here for red screwdrivers.
I go here for yellow screwdrivers.
One of the most common complaints are about no food, they don't realize most of it grows!
You're talking nonsense!
When they removed skills like "Throwing" and added skills like "Cooking" and "Farming", the developers didn't have to delete characters!
I am not a developer, just like you, but unlike you, I am an attentive player with a good memory.
I repeat, the developers did not have to remove characters when introducing or removing new/old skills in the game.
Why would they do this on release?
