Hello, I have a question? I put together a pickup to sell to the mechanic in the trader. But whenever I offer the car, the mechanic tells me that he doesn't have enough funds. so I can't sell the pickup. my question? Is there a setting in the server settings to increase the traders' funds? Unfortunately, everything is in English, which makes finding the right setting much more difficult. because I don't know where to look. FYI, I'm playing in solo mode.

Hello :),

Yes, you can change settings for the Traders but you will need to edit the so Called EconomyOverride.JSON for it. I will explain it to you step by step:

///Step-1///
Head into: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

///Step-2///
Open with a Text Editing tool like Notepad++ the "EconomyOverride.JSON" 

Note: Notepad++ will show it very clearly visible in comparison to Word.

///Step-3///
You will see the following:

Change the 0 on "traders-unlimited-founds" : "0" into a 1 to enable unlimited money for traders.

Safe the changes and start the game. Traders will now have unlimited Money aviable. 

Also do not worry to try it. In case something went wrong or was changed you can anytime manually delete the JSON and start the game. This will recreate it on default settings and you can start again. (Or you create a backup prior.)

I'm sorry to inform you that I didn't find the setting you described. So unfortunately I couldn't make the change. I'm going to take the pickup now and blow it up with a grenade launcher. What cannot be sold is of no use to me. Maybe you should think about it, if you bring a pickup into the game, then you should also be able to sell it to the dealer for the necessary money. Now I've done all the work with the pickup and for what? for nothing and nothing again! I'll concentrate again on the military loot, at least there's some way to sell it. I will avoid cars like the plague in the future.

I think we should leave it at that and focus on the game again and continue playing it as it is. without searching and changing any files. Maybe the developers will have some insight and increase the dealers' funds from $34,000 to $50,000 so that the pickup can be sold successfully in the future.

The "Appdata" folder is usually hidden. If you copy and paste my Direction into your file Browser it will lead you to the exact folder where the EconomyOverride.JSON is located. Alternately you also can unhide the Appdata folder.

Thank you again for your help. Since I go on a big loot tour every day and have now earned enough money, I will buy things in all outposts and see if I can increase the funds in the game. I also noticed that it is possible to sell the Wolfwagen and Laika car models at the dealer. Only the pickup causes problems here. I will therefore concentrate on the two models Wolfwagen and Laiker. It's also much more fun to collect military loot. especially in police stations when you have to pick locks. I always really enjoy it because you don't know what you're going to get. But I will copy your file path and save it. Maybe I'll find him after all.

I just found the file. Now I also saw where the error was. The "AppData" tab wasn't shown to me when I searched. For that reason, I couldn't follow the steps any further. Thank you again for your help. I just have to look for a text program to make the change.

I can recommend Notepad++, it is a very reliable tool and free tool offering a great overview, especially with ini's and JSON .
