To kill a mech
I know.. its useless. i heard that the corpse of a dead mech provide a small amount of loot, which means killing one is useless and not worth the effort
but still, i wanna try some research
i heard that it will take about 8 rounds of AT4 to kill a mech, is that true?
and what about pressure cooker bombs? do they actually score some serious damage to mech?

Hello :),

In my last attack, including mechs, I only needed an RPG with 4 shots and an AT launcher happened to be included. There was also a main weapon with a larger caliber and armor-piercing ammunition.

It really depends on where you hit the mech and, above all, how well you hit it. The loot is all worth it, not only in terms of item quality but also because mechs can drop key cards for bunkers.

The best thing to do here is to really train the whole thing. Nowadays, as a solo mech, they don't pose any danger to me. Although I don't like shooting at my metal comrades, I do so precisely and with hit-and-run tactics so that I can attack the mech from different directions, especially from behind.

For example, I really annoyed the 'Mechs at the B2 airport from a greater distance with an M82. The 'Mechs couldn't identify where the fire was coming from and I had all the time in the world to identify the weak points and thus damage the 'Mech more and more until the poor man then finally stopped working. This was a great and valuable experience in the fight against the mechanical threat and I can only encourage everyone to try it out in order to identify the weak points.

Question: are the sentries robots like ED-209 or are they an actual mech piloted by some poor schmuck who drew the short straw and has to work a shift in this hellhole?

Yes, unmanned. Though you will NOT get 15 seconds to comply, maybe 3 seconds, with the same end result.

They are not manned but controlled by Software. It could be the Show AI DEENA that is responsible for the command of them but nothing is known so far on who is controlling the mechs actually.

So why the hell mechs drops always keypad and timers as C4 parts? Why they are not dropping c4 packages and detonators? Why there is no random loot on that?

It doesnt rly mater where u hit that mech! Tried many times on officials.
