Battery drain for not used batteries
Is it possible to stop the battery drain for not used batteries? I've set the passive drain for vehicle batteries to 0,0 but what can i do for all the other batteries in my lockers, inventory ect? It's annoying to recharge them all few days when i haven't used them.

Hello :),

Battery draining cannot be disabled via the game options. To keep the batteries permanently charged, you can, for example, leave them in a charger until you get online again.

No, Chargers do not despawn. I leave them in my temporary bases all the time despite beeing away for quiet some time. :)

battery chargers require a working generator, these require fuel and usually lasts about 5 hours if i`m not mistaken, if i`m offline for 2 days in real life how much power are the batteries likely to lose, and is there anyway to keep the generator running for more 5 hours in a single player game.

Thank you for your answer. Hopefully this will be reworked or at least we get an option in the serversettings for this. Also the batteries in my remote controlled door openers discharge over a short time. I don't like to built them out, replace them with a new one and recharge the old one every few days. And also the same procedure for all my electrical devices I use. May be the standard non rechargeable block batteries work better right now.

In Singleplayer they last way longer for me personally. Even after a full game day on 1.48dts they have not reached 75% fuel. Also in Singleplayer they do not run if you are offline since the server is during this time also offline.

I barely rely on such devices for comfort to be honest. I build a campsite and maintain all i need to before i moe on to a different location depending on interest and what i need. It take a while for me to actually need to replace a battery and if i can i anyway switch to the Smartphone batteries as they can be recharged and are better for Flashlight etc.

Is this a perm decision or will be changed in future?

As I don't build a base I will never use them.
The charging time is too long (checked the different chargers and batteries) and require you to place them in a safe spot and always check them.

If I forgot to walk back to the charging spot, usually the generator goes out of fuel as it do not stop when batteries are charged.
So each time I need to charge another battery I need to get the fuel too, and so another trip to a gas station. Boring and time consuming for just a cell battery.

As a solo nomadic player, I prefer to buy them from traders.
Simple, easy, cheap.

These devices are even worthwhile for those who are on the go. As I've mentioned many times, I'm rarely in one place for long, but during maintenance it's useful to have a few devices to plan your things for the next few days. This has proven to be a very reliable way of life for me personally, especially with the abandoned bunkers, as it allows me to act independently of the dealers. ^^

I don't know whether there will be additional changes or implementations, I don't have any information about that.

Thanks, for now I'll stay with the traders.
