There is no expiration timer in single player mode. A flag is especially useful if you want to repair everything at once or to e.g. to build a well.
Is there a time display under the objects?
For example if i look at the improvised barbeque i have built it says its name "improvised barbeque" and under the name it says "object will soon be expired" . And same thing happened with my bed.
So there must be some kind of expiration timer even in singleplayer if it shows it will expire soon. And also i had few things placed in my cabin on the floor or on the table etc and they dissapeared. It would be nice if you could place items somewhere and they would stay there. I understand that perhaps in multiplayer it could cause issues with performance etc, but in singleplayer it should be ok, or at least have the option to turn it on and off for example
It's how I clean up.
No it does not.
Yes, i was refering to BB elements, and not Items in itself. :)
No, the devs removed decay of these items in single player.
Here is single payer. It's the same with or without a flag.

And here's multiplayer. In multiplayer, if you have a flag, the items are refreshed each time you enter the flag zone. Base elements (walls, barbed wire, etc.) still degrade, however, and will need to be repaired.

Loot items (weapons, clothing, etc.) are the same in both. They will despawn if left for long enough after leaving the area.
I think the "object will soon be expired" message is just a glitch. I've seen other reports about it. It's usually seen in regards to buried chests when they get close to their degradation time.
i've seen people saying the same as you, that there is some long time that you need to be away from your base in order for the items to dissapear and if you come back, you "save" them from dissapearing. But i guess the time needed for the item to dissapear is wrongly coded in the game and doesn't work with the in game time but it works with the real world time? Because when i play, i am never too long outside of my base and it seems the items are there, but when i quit playing and then i start the game couple days later, all items are gone. I think this should be changed or fixed for singleplayer because it seems like the item despawn/dissapearing timer is going on even when you not play the game.
Restarting in single player is the same as a multiplayer server restart. 'Everything' is reset and cleaned up when you do.
