Dropship
Hello, I have a question? I have allowed dropships to spawn on my map. But only spawning in the world. Not at bunkers or the home base. Although I have been traveling on the map for several hours in several sectors, no dropship has appeared. My question is, do certain factors have to be present for the dropship to randomly appear on the map? I chose spawning on the map so that I can have a random encounter. I think that is more realistic than knowing that it will only appear at a bunker or your own base.

The dropship is separated from the sentry even with sentry spawning turned off and dropship turned on he won't be affected.

Every dropship encounter chance is very low since you don't want him to always chase you around the map. (by default all dropship encounters are turned OFF)

On official servers the drop ship can appear when your base reaches 100 elements. As noted on your flag.
It will attack your base until the elements reach 50.

You have to be in your base for the drop ♥♥♥♥ to come...

The amount of elements displayed on the flag are the indicator, if it shows 100 Elements it is a valid target (Also keep in mind, a owning/Squad player must be present aswell and it is not secure that a dropship will attack when other bases meet also the conditions. Bases without anyone inside wont be targeted either.) The dropship can not go underground because it is flying. However, on Official Servers building inside of the Garage does not work anyway because 1. Its prohibited to build in certain areas and 2. it is a prefab and only basic furniture would work there. For Caves it is limited either but technically you can set up a camp or hideout there.

So based on another comment here, do ALL dropships have the ability to drop ground mechs or is is only the ones bringing in reinforcement/destroying bases that drop the ground mechs???

There are the following possible encounters:

1. Abandoned bunker alarm. A dropship will drop off a mech, but the dropship will fly away while the mech stays until it calls the dropship again to pick it up.

2. A patrolling dropship, this does not drop off a mech and can be encountered almost anywhere.

3. A dropship attacks a base and uses a mech.

______________

There is another type of "encounter" at the B2 airport where lost mechs are dropped off by redeploying them via dropships. However, this is currently exclusive to the B2 airport.

This is the encounter I would like to have. I would like to have a dogfight with the dropship. I love encounters like this very much. Not knowing when you will meet the enemy. Having to act quickly. Hope I meet one of these cargo ships soon. On the ground or in the air. Thanks for your information.

Deathwhisper wrote that I just remembered it's post and copied it.

Your welcome though.

I think Scum as some real potential to be a great game. The devs have their ideas but here and there have given in to the suggestions.

Some have been good like base building.

Random means random.
Can happen 5 minutes after log in, or a week passes by without anything happening.
It'll come when you forgot about it... 😂

My limited experience with dropships thus far is that they spawn when you stay in a specific spot for too long but it is random. Also if you are out in the open. I was in the middle of the ocean on a raft and to cut a long story short, I made one shark very happy and raft is another wreck at the bottom of the ocean, stood no chance XD

aha, then I'll keep trying my luck. They say you should stay in one place for a long time. Another piece of information I got is that you should go to the airfield in B2. that fits quite well. you can also land and take off with a plane there. that's exactly what I want. either it kills me, or I turn the thing into a pile of junk that can be looted. since I've fought against the mecchs many times and won all of my fights, I think my chances of winning the fight here are very good. but only the future knows. there is always a master. maybe his name is Dropship. I'm excited. thank you very much for your information.
