SCUM
Raised my hands in a safe zone and got my backpack stolen
Me and some random guy were emoting at each other, I pressed F4 accidentally aaand he immediately snatched my backpack.

Apparently this should not be a thing in a safe zone. Nobody should be able to take stuff from you when you can't retaliate in any way.

I jumped in someones car yesterday at the trader and took off. There's a second where they are stuck in animation and you can F drive and take it. Now, I just messed around doing a couple laps in the trader and then got out.. didn't actually steal his car. BUT it's clearly something that shouldn't be able to happen.

This kinda ♥♥♥♥ has been going on for years, everyday there are reports of people blocking the 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door to the bank at the trader. Simple solution for all of this would have been to engineer these stupid things out before implementing these features years ago but you'd also expect them to fix this too over time but oh no too busy adding new features on top off all the broken stuff and then changing server settings and coming up with new ways to make the game suck. Even when it leaves EA SCUM is likely to be a failure which is unfortunate.

Oh, blocking the door's happened to me too.

Don't the developers have a guy to sort out and fix these kinds of issues?
Is it only two guys - the dropship guy and the car rework guy there at work? lol.

Power Sword,

LOL, I feel for you man, but this is the funnest thing I've read here in a while. You've got to see the funny side. The devious little so and so's.

Did they provoke you into copying them? I once had someone that in a safe zone kept running up to me and kneeling? I thought it was odd to get a proposal, we'd only just met lol. They wouldn't talk or text, and I now wonder if was an attempt to get me to respond so they could try the same trick?

Cheers

Sadly this is a game mechanic where with F4 you "surrender" and you let people access your inventory. Even if in a safezone, you should be careful.

Blocking the door and overall safezone interactions are being worked on so that we don't have to manually remove people doing this. But yeah no, we don't only have two guys working here :)

We after all Criminals, so if we are in a prison, we are gonna steal your shirt off you, their no police and the safe zone is blood damage, you can still steal and cheat people

No, this is bad game design if it works in a zone where I can't retaliate.

Well, following your logic above, door blocking is fine too, you just have to "be careful" :))
I mean, if you can see how door blocking in a safe zone, where the blocker can't be removed with a bullet to the face, is bad game design, then surely, i hope, you can see why stealing from f4'd people in the safe zone is bad design.

No, as Cheeseking said, they are working on making sure that this is no longer possible. At the moment, such incidents are handled "manually", which unfortunately takes a bit more work until the problem can be handled by other means. That means something is definitely being done here, and reporting such a case is important. Either in-game or via SCUM Support[scum.help.jagex.com].

Following my logic there, you didn't raise your hands for him to block the door. You raised your hands by hitting the F4 button and allowed him to access your inventory as he would outside of safezone as well. How would you retaliate outside the safezone? You would shoot him after you raise your hands and let him access your inventory? Or would the enemy just shoot you down and freely loot you? So without taking what I've said out of context, no it's not the same thing.

You've mixed two things that don't really go with each other, sorry this happened to you. But this is a game mechanic and has been in the game forever. Safezones are in the game since 0.7 as well.

I will forward this to our designers for them to see if we want to remove access inventory interaction is safezones from other players so that you can emote freely. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for processing the feedback despite disagreeing with me.
