SCUM
Can I go back to my old base in SP?
Quick question as I have never tried it myself...but if I were to die in single-player and respawn, can I just make my way to my old base and gear up again from there? It never occurred to me this could be possible as I have yet to die in my single-player world.

Yes. You can also build a bed or cot and as long as you have gold in your bank account you can spawn directly on that and skip the traveling. In single player you can even change the configs so that it's free.

you can change your server setting for SP so that respawn at you flag costs nothing and also zero cooldown/timer

Complementing the above answers, if you want to recover the stuff you were using when died, you must return to the point of death and search your dead body to gather the itens back.

Can also skip the possibly long run back to your base with a teleport command. Or copy your location of death coordinates in the after death screen and teleport there.

bang on! Thats how you do it for SP!

Building on top of that, if you can't find your vehicle or you want to teleport to some place and then back to your vehicle, you can use #showvehicleinfo true , then open your map and you can teleport to your vehicle or any vehicle that has spawned in by clicking on the dot

you could also use #showflaginfo true and teleport to your camp/base by opening map and clicking the dot

Far out that 's a big relief at the very least I won't be too tense about trying to stay alive...appreciate it

Right, I heard there was a time limit for this, is there a way to change that in server settings?

Oh that'd be quite neat, guess I'd have to learn a few commands

Damns that's helpful, I didn't know command's could be extensive as that...honestly at this point they should work towards possible "modding capability" for the community...I feel claiming a vehicle and being able to see it one a map is a must have...then again they are trying for realism

Well, apple has their airtags. Theres realism. Tag your vehicle and it appears on the map 😁

Kuro:

If you are concerned about the achievements offered in Scum just know that any command typed will temporarily disable those.

It's not a big deal cause a simple relog turns them back on. It last only for the duration of that current game session.

You have 20 minutes to return to your body to get your gear after hat time period the gear will despawn.

Press escape > server settings > click on 'respawn' tab > the top two options to on and set everything else to 0

Perma death make that as high as you want
*edit: that is, make it the highest negative number; not a positive number

If you're not will to use the showvehicleinfo true, there is another way to teleport to just 'your' vehicle

Get close to your vehicle and press Tab to bring up inventory > hover over your vehicle and hold control to see the vehicle ID. Write this down

Next you can use command #TeleportToVehicle <insert vehicle ID> and bam!

*edit: use Scum Maps (google it) to get the map coordinates of various POI's. Write down the X, Y coords or copy paste them to a word doc on desktop.. Or you could use Scum Admin Helper (very good tool and it is sanctioned by the Devs)

Use the #TeleportTo <coords> to fast travel all over the place

Be aware, as someone mentioned above, using console disables achievements *for that session*. The easy remedy is to just log out and back in once you 'fast travel' to where you want to go.. no harm no foul. It's your single play game so you can do whatever you want
