Thought it might be...try the door frame first. Right in the middle of the opening. That worked for me. Good luck.
The nice thing about that location is that two large bushes block the cave entrance. So, it's not noticeable from the nearby road even with a door installed.
I had to add a tiny wall to my right side wall. Didn't get it quite close enough and I could see space between. I wasn't sure if it was big enough for anything but this IS Scum so I added a tiny wall there. lol It really was quite fun figuring it out and building it.
Currently furnishing it. Going to go look for oil cans and such so I can build better torches for light. I was so frigging brilliant 1 night I left my light on the ground just inside the door and logged out. Just as I clicked I saw it. Irked me something fierce. lol I'll find another one sooner or later.
Since my base sticks out like a sore thumb I'm assuming someone will get curious in the near future and try to break in.
If I upgrade the walls and such then I'll consider upgrading to gold locks.
I think if I were you since you're on multi I'd leave it the way it is. It really blends well and isn't too noticeable. If you upgrade it wouldn't it be more noticeable? I may be wrong I haven't gotten to the upgrades yet.
Odd mine blends in. Are we using the same cave Mr. Feudal used? In Z1?
