Yes, they do shoot the puppets. In single player you can build much closer to towns and such than in multiplayer, so there's a chance if you do of puppets spawning near your base.
Cool, I have tried to build a turret in Single Player but the turn on option is grayed out, any idea why?
I watched a few different videos of the content creator spawning in groups of puppets to see how the different turrets worked. Not all looked like they worked very good but, at least one or 2 looked like they did a good job. I tend to build close to the B2 airport. I'd like trying to have a horde chase me from the airport to my base and see how a few turrets would handle them.
Sounds like fun, would like to try that too, in Single Player you can spawn in what you need or use god mode to auto fill instead, I'm just having trouble turning one on, can't seem to find any info on how to do it, the option is simply grayed out for me.
You got a generator? They need to be powered.
I'm an idiot, rarely need a generator since I travel a lot so never thought about it, thanks!
Thanks for letting me know. I didn't even know they spawned in like that. I thought a player had to get them from another player. I'm on a server though and don't have the ability to spawn in things. BTW do you know if them spawning in like that was recently added or had been in the game quite a while?
I'm on a PVE server so I wouldn't have to worry about things like that. I'd only like to have one for puppet defense. They're not going to be shooting them or tossing EMP grenade at them. Without getting BCU's i won't be building them any way.
Didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know.
Our solution: They now are rare but can appear inside the cargo drops!
*The Scum devs have given to the server admins a lot of capability over item control.*
Is it easy no, it is actually beyond myself and my old brain.
However our server is blessed by having another admin who is great with stuff like this!
Being tested right now is the following:
Adjustments so far to cargodrops:
-Weapon lockers will now pull from Military Weapons, Gear, Ammo
-C4 lockers will contain items to build turrets, including a BCU chip
-Medical lockers have a RARE chance for small phoenix tears and EXTREMELY RARE chance for Memory Module upgrade
-Protection lockers have a chance to have either the Modern Hazmat Suit or the Vintage Hazmat suit (I will remove them from the trader)
-Armor locker will pull from Military Clothes and Gear with an EXTREMELY RARE chance for the Zombie Impersonator Suit
We are pve so no need for C4
Some stuff is behind harder locks like the phoenix tears and the Rad suits and not all players can lock pick those lockers.
So we are trying to make them available to all but still make it a rare occurance.
Inside cargo drops. I think that's awesome. I don't mind waiting to get things. Even though I've got plenty of money I'm rotating between the refrigerators and hotplate to cook because I haven't found another generator yet. I just pushed a Cruiser from the farm south of the B1 town to the trader to have an engine installed. Took me around 2h 25m irl from the time I started to get back to pick up my truck I left to get the Cruiser. I had just sold enough loot to have over 42k in the bank along side 1700 gold. I originally got the 42k to buy a Cruiser. when I finally saw a Cruiser with a front tire and I was carrying around a rear tire it just seemed like the right thing to do. I also had both fenders with me. Also a bunch of tires and other parts for other vehicles. i tend to go around the map repairing vehicles.
