Sheath for a knife!

Dear developers, why was it necessary to remove leather knife sheaths from sale?

Who among you decided that this was a good idea??))

Did knife sheaths change the balance of the game so much, did they have such a strong influence on victory during the storming of one player's base by another or in battles between them, that they had to be urgently removed from sale by merchants??

What is the point of this action??? Okay, you removed these sheaths from sale... Ok.

But why didn't you at least add them to the crafting menu so that players could make them themselves???
Why can a player sew a leather backpack, create a bulletproof vest, sew a leather holster for a pistol, but cannot sew a knife sheath?? What special mission did this item carry that it was necessary to create a problem of obtaining it out of the blue??))))

That's beside the point. Wolk makes some good points. They should be craftable same as the leather holster. IMO survival should be more about what can I make from things I have, not just what can I find/loot.

What kind of argument is that? Many items can be found in the game, clothes, backpacks, weapons, ammo, but for some reason the sheath was removed from sale.

You have a valid point!
However It could be a simple oversight...something was done to it to make it look nicer and failed to be placed back into the trader inventory. I see also no reason for it's removal.

They can be found in the world I have 1 on both servers now on me.

I was only saying that they are not removed from the game and I did not know they were not available at the trader till you mentioned it. So I logged into my single player and checked, I logged into my server and checked and yes they are not there at the traders for purchase.

As I said they can be found though...

So until they hotfix this if not intentional you still can find one!

Did I say he did not...

It could be just an oversight or a bug oops we forgot to add it back in after making it look nicer.

I am merely letting him and anyone else that happens to read his post that they can be found still!

If we can assemble a gun holster, why can't we make a knife holster?

Unfortunately, this is not a bug. The developers themselves once wrote that this item was removed from sale.
But they still have not explained why this needed to be done.

Its needs to be specially made, for sheathing a sharp knife. Diy work for a gun that has no sharp edge, can be a bit loose or not perfectly matching the weapon, no harm.
Knife slices through the sheath if its not made perfectly for a knife with its dimensions, maybe not immediately, but after few times sheathing. Maybe the general store guy can later make it for you if you bring a piece of leather to him. 😉

Your message does not answer the question: WHY was it necessary to remove this item from sale in principle, and moreover, not giving players the opportunity to craft it! 😉😝
