It's a good location because it's close to everything. I've been in that area since day 1 of SCUM.
Myself i like to build a base that is half on top of water so a river or a smaller lake is kind of must, preferably below the radiation zone.
I think "best" is about preferences here. Flat with low grass is found in many places.
Not until you fix the bronco boats throwing players out of the boats during rough weather.
1 time of 3.
Favorite spot for many... Good animal spawn spot in the woods west!
yer that is one thing i need to remember to look into as well, A good place for hunting animals so i can either set up a perma base near them as well or just a little outpost
Why not on the islands
- Bugged boats during storms that eject players and cause us to lose our equipment
- The large raft is a nightmare to pilot
- Unusable plane on small and medium islands, a homemade gyrocopter would be a real asset in this game
- Shark cannot be deactivated in PvE
- Zombie respawns on the flag zone even on a deserted and remote island
- Poorly designed construction system that poses problems on surfaces that are too irregular with unevenness that is impossible to manage on small islands
- Too many constraints for transporting construction materials, building a base, even a small one, is too complicated because transporting equipment is complicated without a stable means of transport and with a large container
I built several small camps and small bases on different small islands because I like the isolated survivor side but I came back to the big island because there were too many unmanageable constraints to stay there
Too bad because all these magnificent places are not are not exploited and there is no incentive to settle there for the reasons cited above
* Why the character can't swim while towing a small can with his stuff in it or towing the small raft
* Why the character can't swim on his back or on his side in action
* Why the character can't take the stand-up paddle board in hand
* The character for a game like this lacks possibilities of poses, grips and movements in action outside the "poses" dlc
The choice of installation of your base depends on your way of playing but if you want the easy way, place your base at the level of the large lake in C3 between the large city D3/D4 and the merchant in B4 and the merchant in C2.
