We have it on our list, but can't really say when it's gonna be done.
There are a few things to tweak around how bases/flags work in Places of Interest so unfortunately it is not as easy as turning it off and on.
But we hear you!
But why did you turn it off in the first place?
Like so much other nice stuff.....
Seems like they remove stuff we like and add stuff we don't. Let's all say we LOVE the horde, hunting/fishing mini game and they'll go away. ;)
maybe not say that too loud,
i actually like the fishing and hunting and would like to see them expand upon them and maybe make them a skill that can be improved
Thank you for the response, im glad it is in the works
I think they did this around the same time that they closed up so much of the big city. There used to be so many buildings that you could enter and get generic loot and then a lot of those buildings are now empty shells.
Just too much data for players computers to render everything correctly.
It caused severe drop in fps rate and also made the vehicles fall through the map even more so in those areas, again due to rendering speed.
Loading the prefab buildings and all the players loot in the prefab buildings was too much for too many players computers. It caused all kinds of issues trying load all that info.
Flags were put in unreachable places also.
Wardrobes were put infront of the windows and doors making unraidable bases!

If this were the case, and I haven't seen anything indicating this, then the only difference now is replacing the wardrobes with chests.... You can still do the same thing, causing the same issue you mentioned. So I don't think that is the reason.
IF this was intentional, then its a QOL issue for players. Which I don't understand.
Wardrobes hit the performance a lot harder than chests themselves, they also have collision and so on. We're probably going to enable this option after everything else is optimized.
Yeah, sadly. There was so much nice things to do, till some DEVs got weird ideas.
Or we get even worst things. XD
The original explanation was players were exploiting base elements in prefabs giving them an advantage in PvP.
perhaps make building in pre fabs a server option!!!
Love that this concept is not dead. In other games it greatly makes the difference!
This aspect will change the game deeply, IMHO.
