Administration on official servers
Hello, please tell me, is there an administration on the official servers that can respond to complaints about cheaters in real time and block them after verification? They told me that they saw the administrator flying around the map and keeping an eye on the unscrupulous player.

They don't care about cheaters.
There are no active admins on official servers.

It's sad and frustrating.
I stopped playing because of that.

blows my mind ... their decision to not address it....

Yet, I come here once in a while, hoping to stumble across a post or an update that something was done about the rampant cheating.

I think it would be awesome to somehow get the community involved with monitoring the servers. Maybe trusted regulars on the forum given the powers to gathers evidence only, but once evidence is gathered then its passed on to someone who then could execute the ban.

I know its never going to happen, but the cheating is turning away so many players.

That's usual work of some devs. Cheaters being monitored after reports.

Then they miserably fail at what they do.

Cheaters run unchecked, unchallenged.

for the people that make cheats to have their product popular, it generally needs to be subtle, untraceable with current anticheat etc.. so the only way to catch them is to watch. And people put in reports 24/7 whenever they feel they lost out in an unfair way. Its even just being outplayed or network issue that can seem like cheating. The devs have mountains of reports to look at. then they need proof. videos help but are not always proof. And how long are they expected to follow one player hoping to see them cheat when there is thousands more to look at, its why some reports with no footage or enough info will just be ignored.

I kinda dont really trust private rented servers and have had some bad experience with them. Think about it this way. A cheater on official will be banned IF caught but they might ruin your fun before that happens. A sketchy admin or his mates can ruin your fun at any time, cheat, help people they want to help, destroy your base or loot crates etc etc and its all within the rules coz its their server and you upset someone in a discord discussion for example.. Or no reason at all, just to help their friends on the server or even less, just to be ♥♥♥♥♥.. Its extreme and some servers do have good reps, but.. I'd just rather stay on official usually. I'm on a rented one atm and when you see someone driving a pick up right after a wipe you tend to be like hmm, they got all the wheels etc pretty fast or.. its just an admin or friend of that the truck was spawned in for. it's always questionable.

Tbh, on Officials, I have really only seen one or two questionable things, never anything that was obvious, but I also choose lower pop servers.

Oynlengeymer,

Hi, I'm not playing scum again until v1 and I would never buy an early access game again either so this is just an observation.

In all the posts I've read on this subject the common theme seems to go like, you'd think its in the devs interest to keep game-play fair on official servers. Therefore you would think firstly they would make it as difficult as possible to cheat, and secondly police their official servers rigorously. However the reply is always: You the player who bought our product, use your valuable time to do the detective work, gather the evidence, send it to us and we'll look at it. Seems a bit unreasonable to me.

On private servers, I always had a good time (before the game broke). Again just an observation. I chose servers with an active admin and would join the discord to check out their rules. For example if you join a server and shoot someone outside of a PvP area or time then it won't go down well and you'll get pushed off. Not criticising or saying you did anything wrong, its just an observation of a mistake that some people make. Cheers

There are around 100 devs working at Gamepires.

There are around 90 official servers.

So that would mean for a normal 40 hour work week just Monday through Friday they would need

3 shifts x 90 servers = 270 admins watching the servers.

Plus weekend coverage

They are doing what they can.

I know for a fact that several hacks have been removed INCAPABLE of being used since .95 has released.

People are already having to ask for a ban appeal for one cause the hack prevention is working a little to good!

Cranky,

Hi, they've obviously taken a page out of Elon's book. I'll sell you an electric car, it doesn't go far and there's nowhere to charge it when you get there if it gets there, but that's your problem. Worked for him. Cheers

P.S. This wouldn't be a problem if they hired you run the official servers. You know its true.

I ran as Lead admin 3 scum servers I kept the cheaters hackers off those!

It takes a lot of work.

I have recorded and submitted several videos of the hack in progress before I banned the players.

The cheats hacks bypass EAC quite efficiently that's why the devs are asking for video proof so that they can watch the video and learn how the cheat works and then hard code it out.

ESP, speed hack, going through walls, and the 1 shot head shot sem to be really giving them a hard time as it does in almost every online multiplayer game!

They cheat, they get caught and banned, they get another steam account and another scum account and cheat again.

The best long term way of dealing with it is coding the cheat itself out!

Cranky,

I'm not out for a rumble, I have a ton of respect for you, you are a great contributor to this forum. I'm just saying if someone creates and sells a product, they should be the master of it. To the point if someone is so cleaver enough to outwit them and write cheat-ware for a game they'ed be better off making their fortune on the stock-market than cheating a game. So it seems the devs made it easy for the cheats? Just an observation. Cheers

It is a whack a mole situation for the devs it is impossible for them to keep up with the cheats/hacks.

That's is why they slowly trying to code out the actual cheats with the info that we players and admins send to them.

Below is just one website not mentioned and all the game they sell cheat software for.

One website in particular as a selling point mentioned that EA games are the easiest to write cheats for because the code is still being written and therefor easier to circumnavigate that code for cheats!

Cranky,

Again with the greatest respect, you made my point. I had no idea there was so much cheat-ware. However that's my point. Just guessing, I bet most of that cheat-ware was written by a very cleaver tweens in their bedrooms.

If those tween's were really that cleaver they'd be writing a trading algorithm and making their fortune on the stock-market, then shopping for a private jet and a super-yacht. However they don't as they are just kids hacking a game and Gamepires can't out-smart them. Just saying how it looks. Cheers
