Explain Dropship Concept. I'm confused.
I think I'm more confused about lore but what is the thinking behind the dropship? We are on a prison island. We need to get famous, or gain fame points.... so we can buy things at the trader? Then for some reason we are "deemed a threat" so dropship comes a long and kills us or destroys our base? I simply do not get it. What is the direction here? Does fame really mean anything? Where is this all going? I've been playing for 6 years, full release is supposedly next year, and I understand less about the game concept today then i did at the beginning.

If you check the Roadmap on the store page, there is a rebellion system planned. You can get rid of the BCU to escape TEC1 control and flee the island or fight TEC1.
The dropship will be used for that reason to contain "prisoners" that get to strong and endanger TEC1 control.
Consider it like trying to prevent Trueman to bust the show in the movie just with guns.

So it’s still supposed to be a dystopian TV show? I think the immersion is just broken for me. I’ve got 20 zombies that can’t see me suddenly chasing me through bushes and now there’s a drop ship that suddenly shows up and attacks. It all feels very forced and unnatural.

Not to mention I have to look for things just to sell so I can pay for respawns. I’d prefer not looting things I don’t need because I have to make money. I wouldn’t even go to the trader except the game demands it.

I'm with you brother, as much as I'm enjoying the solo hardcore SCUM life away from civilization and all the rest, I think the bunkers are stupid now, the zombie rework of the rework only works good out in the woods, and it still sorta sucks at POIs but not as bad, but in the bunkers its a no-go still. Once you kill all of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ puppetry, that should be it, not unlimited respawns for the puppets.

Look I get the "vision" for the game but the lore is not good when you match up the lore with the systems as they work. Unless SCUM has a 10 year support plan after launch to update and rework these reworks indefinitely I think they should fix what is already done and either expansion pack past that or save some of the rest of the lore for SCUM 2.

Many of us playing this game are more interested in a realistic survival game with competitive PVP and PVE elements but far less focus on the AI additions.

I am sure the things you mentioned are going to change, it just takes time to complete the game.

Yeah, it was cool when it was basically just the concept of a Hunger Games Tv show with Zombies. It got weird when they started putting out concept art of big spiders etc. The Abandoned Bunkers was ok as its a science/tech company and the razors seem to be acceptable in this universe. But then there is brenor.. I dont like the name "Mr Brennor" suggests it is one being, but "he" is in all AB's Its also just a bit too much into a supernatural direction, Human experiments and mutations are fine but.. Why is huge, why is he blind? Need some Lore. Should be nowhere near as big but just heavily armored.

Dropships.. I can see that "IF" they were sticking with the gameshow concept these could act like bounty hunters to even playing fields when a big player is doing too well. Scum radio should be more interactive and be announcing things like cargo drops and drop ships targeting the top squad etc with annouced times shortly before, just like the map tells you of a cargo drop. Remove the map imo, have it as an item you can loot, no markers on it. Make listening to the radio more important. Higher level game could be gps with phone. needing you to hack data from an area like a bunker where armed npcs are. to then basicall get the kinda map we have now, maker of own position drops etc.

but anyway, Idk what the game is anymore. Its a prison survival game but seems to have lost the gameshow element.
