I went through the whole 'trying to get a refund' annoyance with both Steam and JagerX - don't bother, you won't win..
Thank you for the feedback, you should change your game code like other game titles that are much older than this game, if you didn't buy the DLC you can't use it. I think it is not fair to players who bought the character DLC because the gear wears out and maybe your character doesn't die for a long period, you will have to commit suicide whereby you lose fame points. How do you prevent players who base raid or kill you and take the DLC gear from using the DLC gear they didn't buy?
^^ This,
I think its would be better to limit useage and not limit spawning to DLC ownership.
DLC items should be turned into normal items, that spawn and can be found to grant a much better game experience.
That would also make it much easier to handle and add all kinds of DLC items to the game, with no need to think about all the various situations and impact. No need for double mechanics to handle DLC items and so on. This can include all items, like the watch or the music player -> casset/disk deck.
If you own the DLC you can equip the item if you dont own the DLC it will show for you as an unusable/ruined item you can salvage for rags or metal. ALternatively it could show as a none premium items with identical stats, like a skin which many games offer as DLC.
To my impression its more important to give DLC owners a good experience than to avoid someone wanting the item without paying ranting. There is no argument why after hundreds of ours it wouldnt be fair to by a DLC. Acutally i think its rather rude to play for 1000 hours and not buy DLCs since Scums is really fair priced compared to other games.
I know what you aim for, but i dont think it does work out like this. Players just use an alt or ask someone from another server to make a char and die over and over to spawn as much items as they want. The only players penalized are those that buy the DLC, since those that dont can not claim the right to have these items and you cant as a dev rob someone from something they didnt even pay for.
Its not the most important thing but i think it could be improved in many ways.
Btw. i am really looking forward to see a cloth dyeing DLC(basic colors and patterns free for all) like with the weapon and vehicle skins. Not only would we be able to have a lot more cloth combinations and matching colors and patterns but i think the server would also be pleased with no need for multiple itterations of the same items just for color variants rather than a simple color variable on the item for all possible variations.
Sorry but that doesn't make any sense, your'e explanation is that its ok for players to steal the DLC content I paid for and that they could use it.But I may not spawn the DLC items to use after I paid for the DLC. I think this is just to exploit people from their money. What is wrong with you people?
Totally agree,thx
I think they made it this way to prevent players selling DLC clothes to others in game, since getting a new set involves dying and losing fame. Can still be done though I guess if you just have Moncada for his clothes and keep rerolling him.
Only way someone can steal your gear is if they kill you. When you die you get the gear again. So in reality they are not really stealing your gear, just making one copy of it if you like.
I notice though that when I'm on Luis and have to respawn at random. A lot of women are hell bent on killing him, just so they can get his jacket to show off some cleavage
I understand your desire to not give players the opportunity to play with DLC items if they have not purchased them.
But what if, for example,
I bought all the DLC with the characters, but I don’t want to play with these characters themselves, but want to play only the one I created?
Why, when creating a character, do I not have the option to choose what type of equipment (DT or LM) I want to appear in? Please give this choice to those who bought these DLC and thereby supported you!
And it would be great if we also had the opportunity to choose the voice purchased by the DLC, with which our character could speak.
- !!!
I absolutely DO NOT agree with you! If you want to get DLC items, buy DLC!
If DLC items start spawning everywhere like normal ones, no one will buy these DLC.
These items should ONLY be owned by owners of any other spawn.
If you want to dress it up, buy the DLC. Only this way.
Yes, you can steal them by raiding someone else’s base, but you can ONLY wear them after shopping!
There is nothing to discuss here!
I bought the DLC and honestly don't care if someone else who did not buy the DLC gets hold of the items. I agree with the devs it should not be easy though, otherwise people would trade DLC items all the time.
In SP games though they should make it spawnable. Same way they should set a decay timer on locks in official pve servers to prevent every door on the map being locked till wipe.
