If you notice any unauthorized practices, it is best to pass this on directly to the developers with as much information as possible via SCUM Support[support.scumgame.com].
Incoming reports are actively checked and, if a finding is found, action is taken.
ME AND my team already have a few times. doesnt seem to make a difference. they should be banning entire team not just individuals id say. there were 6 of us and now just myself. My whole team left due to these chinese hacker groups.
thats sad to have to stick to private servers; there a bit to easy due to the modifications
its gotten alot better; but i wouldnt recommend official servers on pc ether. console dayz is free of hackers
I highly recommend Boom Boom Room.
I know that The Forge is very popular.
And Luthias' Survival Evolved is good too.
All three of these are good servers with slightly different focus (SE is probably closest to vanilla in all settings), but they all have active and dedicated admins who constantly surveil players to watch for cheating.
And don't worry, cheaters know to RE, so they probably know everything by now, so when 1.0 comes out, there is no real problem on releasing the server files as well.
how come there still alot of hackers and cheaters even on European official servers
we are told to report with evidence etc but no good server still crawling with cheaters Chinese especially
so what the point in reporting when nothing done :(
love the Monday devs report on what happening with game
especial the hunting cheaters ye right
more and more players getting fed up with scum official servers all crawling with hackers
before anyone says play private servers i have done, they all have different rules
never tried Dayz but might go and play there hear it not as bad as scum for hackers
ye i know u will get cheaters odd few i dont mind and when reported they get bloody band
before u say yes played scum from nearly from beginning alot of hours but in
As mentioned by a developer in another topic, further solutions are being worked on. In particular, a cooperative collaboration in this area with Jagex was mentioned.
But reports that are submitted are also actively checked and, if the result is positive, appropriate measures are taken. However, checking is not as easy as one would often like. There must be irrefutable proof so that a corresponding action can be taken. You cannot impose a sanction based on a suspicion. So it needs to be checked and investigated.
I've the proof of devs banning cheaters, and how they do that actively.
It's just that they keep coming.
As I mention on another thread the main problem is the damage they make, that make people quit. Happens on private servers too.
As the damage is the real problem, I suggested devs that it should be focus of the war against cheaters.
We got a news from them, as DW said, that new tools are coming and so more preventive activity will keep them at bay.
As always, prevention is the key. If they can't do any damage, they won't impact on community of players.
Yes, in the same thread I was talking above, I made the same point.
Players have no feedback of the work behind the curtains.
So I asked them to to give us some feedbacks about that.
Officials, for me, are the only place to play SCUM now. So hope new tools and more feedbacks will dissipate the fake rumors of devs not caring enough about cheaters.
I know they are actively working on it.
I want to play official servers to play default normally with other people but almost all of the good latency servers for me have NO english players and NOBODY talks english to where they all do their own thing.
The hacking is rampant. They can clearly spawn items in the game and do lots of other things to get what they want, but for some reason these Chinese players simply steal and steal and steal and ruin the fun for EVERYBODY on the servers they're on.
Again, I'm asking for IP ban or ping barrier. That and or Geo lock servers???
Conan Exiles has ping barriers......and that's run by Funcom. Seriously?
I've seen nothing but harassment and killjoys from the 'Foreign players' as they go out of their way, and I mean spend 15 - 30 minutes to try and ram their cars into motorbikes and bicycles in attempts to push it into the ocean / water.
Why? So they can hoard more, take more and just ruin it completely for others.
This isn't even on PvP servers, this is on PvE servers too.
Nobody plays Official PvP because of hackers, so then the hackers have no victims to ruin the game for and ruin the reputation of the game so they go to PvE servers and wreak havoc there.
It is not. At least in my experience. But this aspect can only be detailed by a dev.
IP ban can be easily avoided.
Funcom, that one with a total turnover of 200 MILLIONS of dollars?! ^^
It's SCUM baby, it's allowed to be nasty.
Btw why ramming them while you can destroy them with a handgun?
I play on official from day 1, and my experience is a bit different.
There are waves of cheaters. I think it's related to the release of them.
New cheat out, cheaters come, and when they use cheats, got banned.
Devs are working on it with new tools, so be confident.
Ive heard this before,"its not an easy task". but then why do community servers with only 1 or 2 admins max manage to keep cheaters down to a minimum. and these are full 80 pop servers im talking about. officials are virtually dead and still crawling with chinese hackers. US west #1 seems to be where they all seek refuge.
