You can go to Battle metrics scum and see some details on servers.
I know of not 1 server that has free sector respawn that does not use the Whally Bot!
Of course you can choose an appropriately oriented server. There are numerous advertisements that you can see in the official Discord and here in the forums.
As far as the decision is concerned, it is just that, a decision that you make yourself. You don't have to rush to a specific position, especially if you're unprepared.
The most important thing in a survival game is the core: "survival." How you do this is entirely up to each individual. So always make sure that you can survive the journey and that you are ready for various dangers so that the result is better in the end.
Singleplayer can actually be a lot fun and almost tranquille at times, however it's a very different experience. Much more focused on the feeling of surviving alone, but with all the awesome survival requirements SCUM has to offer. It's just you, and you gotta make it work.
It has a very peaceful vibe to it at times. If you build your house out in a safe place, it's really relaxing and fun to play. Slowly building up your little oasis in the middle of an apocalyptic feeling world. It's oddly satisfying.
As far as multiplayer goes, it's a very stressful experience in comparison. Always a lot on the line, and usually at the whim of some random player. It''s actually quite interesting how the games atmosphere can change so drastically between singleplayer and multiplayer.

A lot of confusion and hate towards the new .95 spawn system.
