SCUM

The respawn system is awful. Are there custom servers that make sector respawning free?
Seriously. I cant be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dying to some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the early game and waste another 8 hours running to link up with friends. Solo, I dont care much. But right now the first hours on a new server or wipe just feel so ♥♥♥♥ because if you die, thats another 3 hours gone to running.

You can look in Group/server recruitment for descriptions on servers.

You can go to Battle metrics scum and see some details on servers.

I know of not 1 server that has free sector respawn that does not use the Whally Bot!

Hello :),

Of course you can choose an appropriately oriented server. There are numerous advertisements that you can see in the official Discord and here in the forums.

As far as the decision is concerned, it is just that, a decision that you make yourself. You don't have to rush to a specific position, especially if you're unprepared.
The most important thing in a survival game is the core: "survival." How you do this is entirely up to each individual. So always make sure that you can survive the journey and that you are ready for various dangers so that the result is better in the end.

As a side note:
Singleplayer can actually be a lot fun and almost tranquille at times, however it's a very different experience. Much more focused on the feeling of surviving alone, but with all the awesome survival requirements SCUM has to offer. It's just you, and you gotta make it work.

It has a very peaceful vibe to it at times. If you build your house out in a safe place, it's really relaxing and fun to play. Slowly building up your little oasis in the middle of an apocalyptic feeling world. It's oddly satisfying.

As far as multiplayer goes, it's a very stressful experience in comparison. Always a lot on the line, and usually at the whim of some random player. It''s actually quite interesting how the games atmosphere can change so drastically between singleplayer and multiplayer.

I actually love playing the game solo on MP servers or even singleplayer. My ONLY complaint on MP servers is linking up with friends in the start. Back on release when I played, this wasnt much of an issue due to the map being smaller.

Adriac:

Back out of the thread just to the category for general discussions and look at the top two pinned messages and start reading through them.

You will see very shortly where the issue is within the game at the moment.

A lot of confusion and hate towards the new .95 spawn system.
