Lost my car :(

I spent 8+ hours finding parts for then finding and building this car. It only had one door but it was my baby.

I parked it at the outpost, got out 1 of the 4 metal chests in it, and filled it with some stuff. Suddenly my car went from 100 health to 0 health out of nowhere so I propped it up on a Jack outside the general store.

I went to grab my repair kit from the metal chest I had out but it wasn't coming out of it into my inventory (known bug) so I quit to menu then pressed continue to fix it. My beautiful yellow ranger is gone :'(. The chest I pulled out is still there though :'(.

8 hours down the drain. Countless car parts and other things from the boxes gone. It's demotivating. What's the point.

I don't think such a thing occurs in single player mode or on official servers.
If it does occur, it could be a bug.

If you are in single player mode, make sure you have car parking allowed in your settings. If it is allowed, it is most likely a bug.

If it is a private server, check with the administrator.

If you are in single player mode, you could have left the vehicle in the safe zone for about 3 real days and it would not have disappeared.
For official servers, the allowed time is written on the gate of the safe zone.

Hello :),

How long did you parked the vehicle at the outpost ?In outposts is a parking time limitation. Vehicles are only allowed to park 2h. If the vehicle exceeds this limitation it will be destroyed. If you take a look at some spots on the outposts signs will warn you for it.

However, if you play in singleplayer you can disable this inside of the Server Settings with the Zone Tools. (Select Traders and search for vehicleparking.)

The same apply to chests. Chests are not allowed for a long time either. (There is also a setting inside of the same menu)

Hey! The sign says 2 hours, I definitely was not gone that long. The chest is still there but the car is not. I assumed it's because it was on a jack and the game decided it wasn't owned or something? I dunno I'm really new to Scum.

The admin spawned me new parts to make a new Rager and gave me a lock to put on it so they can see it in a list somewhere if it vanishes again so hopefully it will be all good now....but yeah that was a bit distressing.

Me too, I was so down about it. I finally had my own car and I was so excited! Having a good admin really is the best thing ever.

the map swallowed a couple and the other 2 just disappeared?? I set my streaming speed to "ultra" and that has helped so far (fingers crossed)
