but hearing that the devs wished they never added the Z and 0 sectors
leads me to thnk they cant add more....
i mean i wouldnt mind more map
but you would have the pvpers moaning that they cant find anyone to shoot
Visiting all the current POI are difficult already so if the map gets expanded and the missions gets added then there might be 10000 POI that will never get visited.
its the people that want instant rewards that refuse to spend time going to places. with or without a car....
and it makes sense if you do not have time to play dont play
scum just isnt ment for people with short time to play aka casual play... you CAN but you need your own server and settings. thats fine but those people shouldnt be trying to change the game to fit a casual playstyle
I have all the time there is to do what I want in SCUM so it was not about the "time" being difficult but rather the survival aspect depending on the server settings you are playing on and whether it is a PVP/PVE server. These are the things that make it a little difficult to get to all the POI.
So if the map gets expanded and the missions become available then I suspect there will be a lot traveling or a lot of places won't get seen though the missions/side mission or whatever. The current map size is not so bad for testing purposes.
so, of course will be nice at some point to expand it...
but for sure not a priority for now
Where a squad found a way through. It was arduous. It took every thing they had in gear and in playing skill!
They exited into complete darkness but they knew they were through.
Suddenly the lights came on and they found themselves in a giant arena. Surrounded by screaming fans of the show.
A emcee speaking congratulates them on their success and welcomes them to Scum 2.0
This time you start with the gear you currently have on!
Hello this is Scum 2.0 would you like to start with a fresh character or proceed with your old one.
If you choose your old character you will begin with a mission to make it through with only the gear you bring with you so you must choose and choose wisely!
Death will be permanent! It will delete your current character. There is no going back!
all they been hearing is pvpers moan about things that make pvp harder
such as the car door closing animation,wounds,hoards... and so on
and to boot its redditors that are the loudest
the risk of just getting shot instantly dosnt come with any thing worth doing that for
instead of "iron man mode" you have to remove the bcu and become a Rebel and that falls inline wit the season one lore
make it so a death spawn costs 2x or 3x more than normal spawn since your not being cloned by tec01
let the now bcu removed person be able to have a whole set of other missions that cant be done with a bcu implant
because removing the bcu will remove the metabolisim tab so you wont know your nurtients how full you are nothing that the bcu would have told you pre rebel phase
such missions as recruiting players to join the rebels by having them accept a mission
that rebels can buy ( like a wanted poster you can hand it to a recruit)
hunt players that have killed rebels
this one is like the last one but there would be ZERO markers. or way points
you would just need to come across that person in the wild BUT the cash reward could be 20+thousand or what ever depending on the ammout of rebels hes killed
these things are reasons to NOT kos
but obviously kos is and will always be present but it needs to be the second thought not first
You could start 2.0 with a brand new character or you have a chance to bring the original into 2.0 with all your progress of the original should you succeed.
You can play and remain playing the original Scum but the Scum beyond the wall would require successful mission or brand new character!
The reward for all your time playing basically but you have to make it! If not then you need a new character for 2.0 is all!
Anyhow that way beyond where we are atm of not even at 1.0 yet!
its not looking like we will ever be able to do that. so if the devs dont intend to make the map bigger
theres ways around the drawback.
even if we did get a perma death area you know people will ruin that right quick
spawn camping etc YOU had to disable mechs because your server wanted that removed from the game now have perma death just for choosing to "escape" nah bro 100% you will have to disable that too
and even for tec01 scum 2.0 makes no sense why put all the effort to make the prison in the first place then only to make another prison area? why not just use the same area?
and again besides that
new char or not
its the perma death that dosnt offer anything to choose that choice over just stayin in the walls
so even if i choose a new char it wont matter
one shot death.
great back to inside prison lost stats because picked new charactor
... pointless
choose to keep char
one shot death.
back to prison... pointless
theres nothing worth choosing to lose stats and time over
100% understood it just makes no sense to have it the way you suggested
since theres nothing there but losing your stats for no reason
unless you can explain your thought better its actually pointless to perma death your char for no real reward...
Yes, they also spoke abou the possibility of DLC maps in the future, but we still can have some additions to the current map to make it more meaty.
