Problem with bicycles

I got 2 problems with bicycles and help would be appriciated.

1. Can't buy mountainbike from safe zone. First i tried with cash and it didn't work. Then with credit card and it didn't work. I managed to buy the other bike.

2. I bought 2 mountainbike tires and now i'm trying to put them on a randomly spawned bike and it doesn't work either. Maybe i'm doing it wrong.

1. The traders don't always have everything in stock. That's probably why you couldn't get that particular bike from him. He'll probably have it later, or you can try another trader.

2. This may seem basic, but it trips some people up. Is the bike you are trying to put the tires on a mountain bike or a city bike? They have 2 different tires. Also, do you have the tire in your hands when looking at the bike and attempting to install them?

Also is there any way to shift gear on the bicycles?

There's no actual gear shifting, at least not yet.

bicycle tip: Pretend your 'w' key is like pedaling a real bike. You get way more value out of your stamina if you push and then let off, as if you were pumping the pedals.
