shutting car door

i personally do not like that the door is shut when driving the car
has this game design a reason ? is this some strange kind of coolness ?
the door should be shut after entering the car for my liking

There have been several complaints about this behavior in the past already.
But it looks like the devs are not willing to change this.

There is a lot that could work a little better, for example i would like to turn off engine sitting in the car.
Also the area for "Push" is enormous compared to "Driving" and i constantly end up pushing the car when i slightly turn mouse on the side, even worse if im being chased by the puppets so i run to the car and he starts pushing it. The proiblem doesn't exist when the door is closed tho, so i always close them whenever i leave the car.

Closing the door mid-drive was their answer to people who were complaining that the whole 'get in car and take off' process takes to long. So they simply got rid of the close-door animation and did it this way.

had the SAME thought i thought it was soo dumb that doors only close when you drive now...

those vocal sweaty af pvpers and the ones that want to be able to to drive right into a town hop out loot fast as flux and hop back in a car like its nothing IMO

they were the only ones moaning that it was "too slow" to enter and exit cars
when in reality devs told them its a luxury to own a car.

you cant just be like "oh i own a car im speed mc queen and un touchable"
you need to park that loud hunk of metal 2-3 blocks away from a town your going to hit and walk in SAFEST way of doing it but that is never enough....

you Could drive in to towns suure but thats a GAINT risk thet people took and when they got caught out exiting and entering vehicles they got vocal...
but the enter and exit was too slow for the moaners
kept getting themselves killed when they try doing the formentioned fast looting runs

What are you all saying. You shut the door in real life? Hit the gas, drop the clutch, door slams shut all by itself. Much faster & easier than pulling on the dam thing!

no: its faster if you jump in and the door automatically shuts
and its better in case something is following you

That style is illegal in real life, and all those CCTV cameras are gonna catch you and fine your ass.

push and drive close together.. I got another- hop into boat facing the motor an see if u like to drink saltwater cos drink and drive are also very close together.
yes I do the same close the door so I cant miss it an start pushing when Im in a hurry.

I take off the passenger door- if it has one, and leave the pass seat also, thats a quick get-in on that side, then F1 over to drivers seat hahaa.

One could animate a fluid getting in the seat while simultaneously closing the door action if you really wanted to...

I don't really care about the car doors, there are other, more important things that bothers me. But I don't understand why they did it that way either.
