Recommend Cooking/Farming/Eating for different tasks/general.
I'm training strength, and I'm at 6.7 at the moment. I hear protein is the best, sardines, or meats.
I also like having food that's filling so I won't have to worry about it too much.
I have a farm but didn't know which plants to grow, so I grew Lemon since it's an optional ingredient to Tea, but the plant is always "Destroy Plant" despite none other plant saying that. Potatoes, Watermellons, Sweet Melons, Pumpkins, Cannibis (never searchable), tobacco.
I'd like to know what are good recipes for cooking so I can adjust my farm, or look out for.
I mostly eat MREs, meat I cook, fruits/vegetables, or whatever I find.
I also eat recommended diets if I can, but I'd like other suggestions.

It'd be great if I can make something just from farm ingredients so I don't have to keep buying or scavenging for them. I also live by water so fishing is available as well.

As for food, I've tried a bunch of things along the way and this is the 'set up' I've settled on. Protein, Fat and Carbs are kind of the only 3 things you REALLY have to pay attention to, at the moment at least. By reading the food you're about to eat you can see the numbers but here is what I try to do. Fat I try to keep between 20-50g. Protein I try to keep at 3-4x as high. So for example, 30g of Fat means I want about 90-120g of Protein. As for Carbs, they act as sort of a 'force field' over Fat and Protein. While you have Carbs in your system the previous 2 don't drop as fast while doing activities.

I have a Portable Fridge set up with these specific foods...

Grilled Steak (No Boar, Wolf, or Bear meat) - Any of the other animals create steaks that are high in protein while low in fat so a great option

Grilled Fish (1x Bleak, 1x Carp, NO Oil) - Oil is insanely fatty so don't use it. The reason for Bleak + Carp is that it creates a Grilled Fish that fixes Vitamin D instantly AND is a nice balance of Protein and Fat

Grilled Poultry/Chicken Leg - This is a bit more fatty than the Grilled Steaks, but I eat some of this whenever my Protein starts to raise above that 4:1 range of Protein to Fat.

Lastly is Pancakes, yes Pancakes. I know it sounds weird but it is an AMAZING food for STR gains. Do NOT use Oil, Butter, or Walnut. It ends up creating Pancakes that are pretty low in both Protein and Fat, but really nice for stacking Carbs. I ONLY eat a pancake when I'm about to start pushing the wheelbarrow around. I never eat one when I'm just going to go around the map looting or doing 'normal' activities. There are so many Carbs that keeps your Protein and Fat nearly locked in the right place while doing a high carry weight activity like the wheelbarrow.

***EDIT ADDED BELOW***

I also do Grilled Vegetables (Potato, Carrot, Onion, Green Pepper, Tomato). This is kind of a jack-of-all-trades food that gives a wide stroke of all the Vitamins.

I also grow Broccoli (Fixes Vitamin K and E). Also Pears are an amazing thing to grow in your garden because it's a decent sized meal on it's own while giving a nice chunk of Carbs. As I stated with Pancakes, I don't eat Pancakes while doing 'normal' activities, instead I get my Carbs intake from Pears for that.

Would I be correct in assuming you are likely looking to lower you body weight as well? Potentially raising DEX?

If so, you want to avoid overly fatty foods

Focus mostly on red meat and drink only water and coffee (for stamina boost)

Fish is ok, but its not very 'filling' as you put it. Your body burns the fish pretty quick I've noticed, so you have to eat a fair amount of fish.

Note: when cooking, use all the optional ingredients. Salt and pepper is easy to find thus red meat is the easiest. Salt mine/farm located in South Z2, pepper is a fairly common item which I usually found in eatery type buildings and the small shops/petrol stations.. otehrwise buy pepper from vendor town

Avoid the MRE's -too much fat

Fruits and vegetables have carbs -takes a while to burn that off

Personally, I rely on a diet that can be found along the way, i.e. mostly fruits, then vegetables in general (except corn), nuts as needed (for example, I like to have the almond packet in my inventory), and fish is often on my menu and last but not least comes meat/milk etc.

I especially avoid saturated fats, which are extremely difficult for the body to break down and can be quite stressful.

Dishes are then a category of their own. When I sit by the fire I usually make myself mixed skewers. With the right ingredients, these can be very manageable but still take a long time.

What is important with the diet/exercise ratio is that you pay attention to how much you want/need to move. If you have a lot of work ahead of you, saturated meals are definitely worth it, even if they initially seem very greasy and heavy. For the construction of a base, for example, I prepared a very hearty meal, which wasn't even enough to cover the energy requirements for the rather large construction and the procurement of materials.
So it depends on a few factors.

It starts here with constitution. The higher the constitution, the better because it reduces consumption. The whole thing is followed by the type of movement and also the distance. You can almost create a formula out of it ^^.
Above all, plan well in advance. Long stretches where you know you'll be looting a lot should start with a good meal, as mentioned. For example, I do this when I go to the old nuclear power plant and the neighboring town, because taking off my suit, eating and putting on my suit is not that healthy.

If it's only a short distance, it's worth having smaller meals that you can divide up in a manageable way. Mixed skewers were and have always been one of the best alternatives for me.

Farming is rare for me, but when I do I limit myself to onions, potatoes and bell pepper, as I often use these for the mixed skewers.

I have max Constitution/Dexterity/Intelligence 5. Even eating fatty foods, my Dex is still 5. Likely because of all the training. Strength is at 6.9 now.
I heard Sardines are the best since it gives most protein, but the sardine fish building in A1 (I think) is in a PVP zone so I'll do that if needed but not on a whim.
Red meats is good since I always have salt and pepper so I use those in every dish.
But I don't hunt enough to have a large supply. Only when a wolf or bear are nearby.
I have some now but I try to mix other stuff in so I wont burn supply too fast.

I'll grow those vegetables if you recommend it. Grille vegetables with all of those or is it the same with just all of the same?
Pancakes are something I never made so I don't know which cookbook to use but I think I have them all so thank you for the lead.
Wheelbarrow trick is what got me this far as well. 👌🏻 it also raised my Endurancr higher since I started with advanced Running and medium endurance. Now endurance is advanced 24%.
I wanted to find a metal wheelbarrow for more weight but I've only seen one or two spawn early on when I didn't have a lock. Now I never see one.

I usually eat MREs when starving from workout, also watermelons to eat something with plenty of water.
I haven't eaten a skewer in years since I'm a returning player. I have a fire place but I couldn't figure it out and figured grilled steak was just as good.
