Will next patch Wipe all servers?

I keep hearing different things. That the next wipe is big so it'll wipe the map except for character and gold. Someone else said that it's unlikely since it wasn't announced.
Someone else said that when it gets the the 1.0 release, it'll wipe everything anyways. Someone else said the same thing.

I stopped playing years ago because I didn't like the character not transferring between servers, and the wipes. I figured finding a good server recently would be good enough, but if I have to worry about wipes, at least I can build up my character and gold knowing I'll be in a better place when it does wipe.
But if the 1.0 update deletes everything anyways, I'm concerned.

It's a great game. But considering how much grinding is involved, it's disheartening to know it'll all go to waste.

Hello :),

As with the last Major Updates they are usually with a Partial Wipe. A Partial Wipe means the map and items will be wiped but you will keep your character Progress aswell as Gold on your bank account (If not stated otherwise.)

Informations about the 1.0 are not aviable, currently the game approaches the 0.95v and it will most likely need a Partial Wipe to ensure proper functionality for the changes coming toward us. :)

the game is BEING developed
theres going to be wipes and crashes and things that break

the game AFTER 1.0 WILL NOT wipe UNLESS 1000000% needed for an update or something and even then devs dont like wiping things
but you should EXPECT wipes and crashes etc while the game is NOT finished atm

the not being able to swap servers with chars is ment to be like that
BECAUSE
i could just go on a dead official and play with 1/64 people get my char to max stats alone un contested just to switch over to a popular server 50/64 and keep stats.. NO thats stupid

Thank you for the clarification. It's much appreciated to have a reliable response. I feel more confident selling my stuff to have gold for the wipe compared to having the seller's regret wondering if it was going to wipe anyways.

Don't be concerned or alarmed; when something is coming that requires a full wipe, the community will be informed. When this happens, that's when everyone is entitled to escalating to brown trouser panic stations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnjU7ZAlFjw

However, most times when new content is released; note, not a hot fix or patch -proper content such as the last wipe was for the abandoned bunkers, the Devs will partial wipe servers and they usually tells us in advance. A partial wipe means assets and resources, not player data.

The game is currently being developed so you're right that it's to be expected. I'm not sure if you assumed I thought the game was done or what.

I don't remember ever criticizing the way the game was. I do remember saying that my current play-style and preferences may not match the game as it is, but please be aware that "I don't like (blank), but I understand why it's like that and it's great for what it is" and "This game sucks because of (blank)" are two separate statements.

You're correct with the comment on server switching between competitive maps. Server specific players are a good mend for that issue. I would personally prefer the options for servers to have a "Transferable character?" option for PVE friendly servers between friends so we could all play in our own world and just occasionally join without having to worry about hosting a server all the time. Again, that's more of a personal preference than a critique on the way it is.

The game is great, so wipes are to be expected. I appreciate being able to keep my character between partial wipes at least since it's the most grind.
I like a heads up to know for sure.
I just like knowing if it'll be partial or full wipe so I'm not wondering whether to sell everything because it'll be a surprise wipe without any heads up, so I'll plan to sell tomorrow, only to find out it's been wiped that day, so 200 gold worth of inventory ready to be sold is poof because I decided to put it off for a single trip.

Oh yea. If it's announced it'll be a full wipe, then I'll have time to mentally prepare myself. I just don't want a surprise wipe. I doubt they'd sneak up with that big information, but I'm a returning player only to find out all my characters are starting over, so since I've been gone for years, it's understandable that I just wasn't informed since I wasn't up to date. So I don't know how it would happen, or stuff like that.

If a partial wipe is necessary, this usually also applies to the single player. Here too, problems and conflicts would arise due to outdated versions if a New version is just placed above old versions.

However, you keep the character progress as well as the gold in single player mode. A partial wipe can also be done through the server settings in between if you need. All you have to do is activate the partial wipe option.

When is wipe? I have sold everything and invested it into gold. I don't like the waiting point when i know a soft wipe is coming. not much point playing atm.

I am looking foreword to the major change to Puppet AI, Hoards...especially Puppets can enter buildings. this is going to be fun!!!!!!!!!

We have also quit playing untill whipe. Strange that they can't even pinpoint a date. No point in us farming up again when we dont know when whipe is going to be.

A wipe shouldn't stop you from continuing.
As long as you have fun playing, you should just enjoy it and see what new and exciting content comes your way, especially with big updates. :)

Ohh sorry but it does. We don't want to waste time looting and building a new base for it to just get whiped. We are waiting for the new update. Its a game in development so we understand and we have time to wait :)

Not so. in this wipe i got my base elements to max and i played around with different designs. 43 gold in the bank currently on a HC server... ready for 9.5!
