SCUM Map wipe with new update [Dev. pls confirm/deny at least]
I'am looking to start a new server with the bois, but seeing how the suspense is so thick right now with the new update incoming, I was wonder if its not a good time to start grinding if this new update is going to wipe all the items/vehicles I find.

If any dev. could confirm/deny at least this then it would be most helpful.
Bump if y'all curious too.

What you can do is to disable auto-update on the server and on steam, so when the update drops you can check here whether it wiped or not.
If it does, you can sell everything possible and put it into gold before updating. So the grind would not have been for nothing. Maybe hold off on upgrading your base into metal/brick.

Server yes, but one does not simply stop the update train of our lord and savior.

Hello :),

As with other major updates, a partial wipe is very likely as there will be many changes. If there were outdated data here, it could lead to unforeseeable problems in the best case scenario.
This often makes wipes necessary, especially for main series updates. if not stated different, this would be a partial wipe, partial wipe means that all items/buildings etc. related to the game world are removed. The map is therefore reset to its origin. However, players retain their character progress (No clothing or items worn) during the partial wipe and the in-game currency "GOLD" is also retained.

Refresh my memory, one can exchange gold back into cash, right?

Yes. As soon as you have aquired a Gold Bank Card you can buy/sell it and boost your finances.

You will need to regain the fame to get your gold card again after a soft wipe and then the bank takes their cut from your gold when you exchange it back to cash!
