My controller has 4 extra mappable buttons would that in your opinion be manageable for fitting most things as keybinds? I don’t have a desk atm and use a lap board to use my computer but don’t enjoy playing games on the lap board as it’s not comfortable … rust unfortunately doesn’t have native controller support and I do not enjoy playing it with configurations for the reasons you mentioned it’s just not a good experience on makeshift controller settings, my worry is that this game would be similar and I would not have a good time playing with either option but I’m asking for second opinion because it looks fun …
I haven't tried using controller with Scum
Also I think they need to add some sort of radial wheel menu for a lot crafting etc... And in a game like this, some minor aim support is also needed.
But I am hopeful that in time there will be official controller support. I am 99% sure I read a twitter message about the game will be released for Xbox and as I wrote in another post, I can't imagine a game being released on Xbox without controller support.
If I will use it all the time or just for driving/flying I don't know.
If it's an Xbox Elite controller you have, with four buttons on the bottom, I believe you'll need some 3rd party software to make those DX buttons to map them. Otherwise they are just copies of other buttons. And I don't mean using Xbox Accessories.
Controller support will receive official support in the future, as for ETA - I don't have one to share with you yet.
Yay! Thank you! I'm waiting since a very long time now. I understand that you don't have an ETA, but can you at least say if it is coming with Version 1.0 or after on?
With best Regards.
There is currently no ETA aviable. If news about this arise they will most likely be announced. :)
