there is stuff...
but not as long as animals are ghosts and bunnyjumps are still usable
It's only on the pants, so it has minimum effect compared to for example jumping in water or from rain. And yes as mentioned if it is cold it could be a problem. But currently, unless I want to roleplay, which I do sometimes, I just let it go because it's automatic and has no consequence of me feeling slightly chilly for a few minutes.
It does have more consequence...time. Real time. Real time spent adding up sitting there passively watching your character doing something when you could actually be actively engaged in other activities.
Cool mechanic and cute the first few times, but really very impractical in a game in my opinion.
All of my clothes get super dirty really quickly anyway, I don't have access to enough water to wash it or time to do that, not washing the clothes is a major time saver. Water also better spend on other stuff, like cooking or farming. And the time saved better spend growing garlic so I can have a storage of easy antibiotics if I get wound on my pee smeared thighs. Or just take off the pants and become buttnaked but uninfectious.
I like that you have to pee and poop actually, I just don't like that just letting go seems to be the better option in vast majority of cases, because it kinda invalidates the point of it. Maybe clothes soiled in pee should be able to become more than 100% dirty for extra germs in wounds? And/or maybe body parts themselves should be able to have a dirty stat like clothes? And/or the stench could make the character perpetually slightly nauseous.
Yes exactly that was also my thought/point. Taking the pants down and peeing takes time where you are exposed, but letting go does not you can just keep doing stuff meanwhile. The situations where peeing in the pants has an actual detrimental consequence seems like fairly fringe cases.
Right on.
