I can't find any firearms in single play.

Any ideas? I searched the gun range and police station, only found a mag and some bullets. No guns. that's sad.

scum is NOT a "loot and shoot" game
you will need to find items over time nothing in scum will come "fast" or "easy"
whats sad is expecting to find EVERYTHING you will need at every possible container...
gonna need to un-learn some of the expectations you have from other games

At the police station, you should have a fairly high probability of getting a handgun or rifle. It is better to go to the police station when you get the items for picking.

Boot camps should also have a high probability of finding them.

yeah the police stations are the hotspot for guns, check the locked lockers, you will need a screwdriver and a lockpick to open those, lockpicking mechanic is pretty much the same as in skyrim/fallout so you wont have much trouble with that, also idk what that other guy is talking about, SCUM is literally loot and shoot, that's pretty much all you do, also be sure to check out custom servers instead of officials, because custom servers have increased loot and zombie numbers, officials have that weird lack of loot and action feeling to them, every town feels empty

Good piont. For those younger players theres tons of high loot servers where you find whole Nato armory in one day playing.

As the marked answer I too will suggest looking at community servers; preferably ones that are friendly, possibly even pure PVE. For a new player without a giga chad squad to carry them the official servers are a sisyphean loop of suffering. Once you yourself has become the giga chad of SCUM knowledge and survival you may return to official. It's actually a really great experience on official servers, but only once you understand an ocean of things that you don't have chance of understanding for a long while as a new player.

You need to start only on the official one. Only there you will see the game as it was intended.
