If you just mean the ability to spawn stuff in single player, it makes sense having this when the game is early access and players can loose items to bugs. You just need to exert some self control.
I use single player to test out mechanics (like when they brought out fire damage and ability to make burn injury treatment items/cream) and also new POI's such as when they introduced the ruined reactor and radiation affects
Additionally, I use single player as a tool to safely recon locations without fear of losing my hard found/earned gear on my 'live' multiplayer character to map bugs or other broken bits of code -for example, shortly after having the modular vehicle content, the WW behaved like it was on ice because the physics engine relating to friction was tampered with crazily by the devs to allow players to push cars.. the side effect was that the WW was getting hard stuck on rocks and would skate around like it was on ice frequently
But sounds like you have an addiction issue ;P heheheheheheheheh
I will admit, once you start using them codes it can get mighty hard to stop sometimes..... I just want to try out the .50.... 10 rounds is enough right? Noooooooooooooooooooo it is not!!!!!! Ooooooh.. we have a RPG... let me have a go of that one! hahahahahahh
The single player mode for some players is used to test the game mechanics, for others to do survival with or without zombies while being alone, etc. ....
Everyone chooses to play how they want but asking devs to remove access to the admin console is stupid
Go play on multiplayer servers instead of talking nonsense
If you are not able to discipline yourself in single player mode, I think that in multiplayer mode you will not be able to cope with the gameplay without access to the admin console and you will then say that the game is too hard
In single player mode I have three test characters
An anorexic character, the goal is to make him gain weight and make him competitive without using the admin console
An overweight character, the goal is to make him lose weight and make him more competitive without using the admin console
With these two characters, I still have a good hundred hours of work before I can give them the physical shape and equipment to tackle a bunker or venture into a very dangerous area.
It's a real challenge for me
The last one is in good health, the goal is to test all the mechanics of the game using the admin console with parsimony and discernment
It is up to each player to use the admin commands. When, how much and how often it doesn't really matter and you won't do anything wrong because it's your own game that you modify accordingly.
But as an example a little help:
Build multiple characters for the single player. One for testing where you know exactly which commands you will use (of course also for doing nonsense) and one with which you simply play in the world to play. This way you can tell yourself whether you want to play without commands or with them. :)
Ive promised myself i only keep re-building my base back as admin each time theres a wipe but then the weakness comes in..."it hurts nobody if i build and upgrade the other half ready too, and maybe my garden too, and maybe spawn a backup car aswell, and im missing some cook books, and i dont have a clip for my M1...why not 2, and why not spawn some emergency tears too...etc...etc..."
So i need to fight it to keep my gameplay as much vanilla as i can. Im a vanilla fanatic, i like to keep it as close to how vanilla MP servers are if i ever return back there.
I also promised myself that I wouldn't use the respawn command, then 5 minutes later, I had more than 50 chickens and rabbits running from one side to the other inside my base lol
I have a suggestion for you: Create a SP game called "NO CHEAT" and don't cheat in it. If you feel the urge to type a command, leave that game and open another, to type your command there.
When you gain your control back, go back to the NO CHEAT and keep not cheating.
It is not that you are weak, you just didn't trained your will enough. It is a normal thing and is valid to many subjects in life. For example, I stopped with alcohol 2 years ago, but it's been 1 year since I had my last beer. It was 1 year of falling down to the temptation and trying again.
