The 0.85 update

Battery charger

We now have a new item: a battery charger. Ok, technically there are 2.

There is the big one and a small one. But don't worry they work in the same way. The first thing you need is a generator. The second thing you need is the battery charger itself. Then just simply put the battery in the battery charger and voila you are charging your battery.

Hello :),

There are three ways to charge a car battery.

1: By installing it in a vehicle that has been equipped with an alternator.

2: By building a charger in one of the different versions. These also enable smartphone batteries to be charged. (Blue batteries cannot be recharged.) (Well described by CrankyOldMan, Thank you very much.)

3: By transferring from another car battery. “Battery Cable” is required for this.

and u have to repair the battery too, a perfectly good one somehow gets 'damage' of some sort.
I was on the mechanics lift- u dont have to be, an when I hovered over the battery and alternator they both needed 'repair' it said "repair battery/alternator for $xxx".
it was like 374 each

You do not Need to repair them, however, Damaged devices does not perform well. Batteries have lesser max Charge for example.

Next to the Trader you also can repair vehicle parts with Car Repair Kits without visiting the Trader.

Can't do number one if there is not enough charge to start the car also!

yeah so repair it like everything else. blades. rifles. every fender & wheel, stitch up every piece of clothing using 12 sewing kits u carry for 1 muppet encounter that hit u once, but manages to rip everything from the backpack to your shoes by 20-30% damage to each.

so yeah, when it says repair- I repair, I donno what 'repair' to a battery means, but I do it in game theres no repair a battery irl.
the only repairing a battery needs is charging but its lumped in to repair also cos its a part of the car I guess.
alternator needs repair yeah we used to rebuild them, so a repair to that when they cost a fortune to buy one, and hard as heck to find one out there is correct &worth the repair charge to keep it good BEcos- its Re-Charging the battery so if alternators good the battery will stay charged. thats what an alternator does.
but irl alternators & batteries last a long time, they dont get damaged from bumps in the road or zombies hitting the hood or doors, and the dont wear that much in the few miles we drive here.
its a little silly but the repair charge is not that much. in comparison I paid like 2 dollars to repair doors that zombies had been scratching the ♥♥♥♥ out of too cheap then the batteyr an alternator were like 300+ each to repair, doesnt make any sense.
