Absolute Beginner - Server?

Is it like DayZ and I should start learning the game on "vanilla" servers? Any tips for good servers? (EU - GER)

I usually suggest starting out in single-player to learn the basics before moving on to any server. Just keeping your character alive can be a chore for an absolute beginner.
And then may be move on to an easy PVE server first before starting PVP.

I only do single-player, so I can't recommend any server. But there's an entire discussion dedicated to all sorts of different servers.

The most difficult part of learning Scum is actually only the recipes and the overcomplex way to combine items. Fighting is pretty similar if not a tad better.

We are a small group of 5 guys and have a few watching our streamer who we play with basically daily around 18:00-19:00 with open end. We do a lot of "dummgebabbel".

if I can advice u somethiung it is to start on fine servers and dont go for pve only.
Go For Ribbon or official solo/duo ones.
