Fame Points for vehicle parts?
so apparently i noticed that for getting any vehicle you need 300 fame points... and what do i think about that? i gues its fine except for the bicycle maybe which would been good if we could purchase it earlier in the game because by the time we get to 300 fame points we will already have enough money to buy something better than the bicycle..

but this isn't my point of this post...
if we happen to find a bicycle earlier in the game but its missing 1 wheel we still can't repair it because buying any vehicle part costs 300 fame points as well.. so your only hope in early game is to find a perfectly working vehicle or to be extremely lucky and find the vehicle part you're missing in a garage..

now i already know people will bomb me on this post saying that the Devs gave full freedom on all servers to change all settings but when you have something in default that means this is the settings you're going to find in 90% of the servers

Wouldn't it make more sense for players to purchase a bicycle in early game? like 200 fame points? or maybe spare vehicle parts at 200 or 100? for bikes or cars and boats i totally understand the 300 fame points but for spare parts and bicycles i find it a bit weird there

Bicycles should not require any fame or maybe real low fame of no more than 50.

Some of the stuff in this game makes no sense!

Some? Too many things imo.
This and that none of the newly introduced, nor most of the old systems and game mechanics work properly or are ridiculously overcomplicated or just dumb, plus the trillion bugs and lack of mp server performance made me quit and un-install a good while ago.
Sad to say but I don't see this game, wich was by far my favorite one, heading towards a decent state of fun-playability during the last few steps before 1.0.
I'll follow the news and keep myself up-to-date, but that's about it.

i miss the quads- perfect for this game. i aint riding no bicyle lol. i sell em but not ride em.
on the cars- sillly the way the whole side comes off.
doors an fenders. thats the way a car comes apart, no one giant long piece for the whole side lol who made that?.
lights are small, easiest an pay good. seats n hood if u got room, bumpers not worth much. actually the trunk lid instead of hood its worth more probably cos the glass, but its more

agreed grumpy bikes should be NO points, lol, anyways u ever find a complete one let me know an good luck with muppets on it! does it have a little bell on it to stir them up lol

New spawn in single player, I grab some loot then head to an outpost. Sell the loot to the traders and get some cash.

I try to buy some food.

Not enough fame points. ?!

Last time I rode a bicycle some updates back it also takes really long to get off a bicycle it's a huge pain when a puppet is chasing you.

Now you find a bike and it's usually missing all its wheels, 340 fame to buy a bicycle wheel lul

sorry to disturb again while i am not the kind of person to dig up old posts i think you said this will be forwarded to the designers but we had x2 patch notes without a change on this part.. did they deny the change? or is it impossible to be achieved? i just want to know

its been a bing controversy on the internet about this whole "fame" thing. I can see that they want it in the game to slow progression down, but at the same time. Given the fact that this game is a reincarnation of H1Z1 Just survive and thats what players are searching for in survival games. I dont know if this really works or not.

I mean its not like H1Z1's owners would ever go after anyone for copying their game 1 for 1 so nobody is gonna say anything...if this game was tuned that way more..

But as for fame to buy basic things like Tires and what-not. or even just a pack of pills for antibiotics. its going to be turning players off to the game.

I get the whole wondering around vs driving thing. The thing is though. The devs did a really good job at making the driving aspect of this game really fun and taking away that is making lots of people mad. Minus some of the clunky aspects of entering vehicles, and exiting said vehicles.. but that was a big thing players used a ton, because it feels like a "party game".

Scavenge, drive, loot, fight some zombies, enter vehicle, drive to vendor, sell junk, buy vanity items, go back to base and squander said items. :P and I mean its not like its a big deal for driving to fully break the game, just for the fact that many times a group of players have to push the vehicle all over the map to find parts, or even gain enough money to buy from vendors...

if anything, just raise the prices. and lower trade values.

I couldnt buy the whole new bike at the mechanic, 7k., or a whole boat, 11k, even though I had more than enough FP's. ?.

an dont get that city bike uh uh poj

and we should be able to pick up a bike with a wheel missing, or both wheels missing, save us go back an forth and/or looking for weeks for ONE wheel, an just super-Un-realistic.
shoulder it to a mechanic, one wheels only like 560 u RARely gonna find one.

Traders are programmed to have a supply and demand

Some traders at that time may not have what you need in stock while other traders might.

When it comes to vehicles even bicycles...if all of the working rides are on the map you cannot buy one!
You'll need to find and fix one up or steal one!
